I went to my local starbucks tonight, sure enough a black "medium" coffee costed me $2.79 - frankly I thought Mcdonald's 1 dollar coffee was actually better, mind it was actually fresh which makes a difference.

Tits behind the counter did give me a great piece of advice, Panera bread has coffee and cake after 7pm for half price - so I downed my brew and headed over there, it was $3.25 for a medium potato waffler and a cup of Joe.

Never ate at Panera bread before, its on the opposite side of town for me, only thing I could get away from is fact starbucks is a Hipster hangout, but not as bad when you consider Panera bread had a youth baseball team in there, bunch of kids running around with corn cobs up their asses.

McDonald's coffee probably ends up being fresher because they sell for $1. At that price they probably outsell Starbucks when it comes to plain, no-frills coffee.

I eat at Starbucks quite often. The "Protein Bistro Box" is absolutely delicious and very healthy.

Jon iz teh kewl: Just Another OC Homeless Guy: rappy: Misconduc: $16 a day to eat at starbucks? I call bullshait, when the COFFEE is $8 a piece.

Your Starbucks sucks, it's like $6 at most usually

Homeless/Poor protip #25: A Venti (Starbuck-speak for Large) normal coffee costs $2.25 in Orange County. Fifty-cent refills all day long. Get registered on their website and earn a Gold card, which gets you FREE refills all day long. Get a double-cup and wait till shift change, or go to another location, and you can double that to free refills on TWO coffees all day long. Save the cups and keep them clean, and they generally are good for free "refills" each day. You can generally do this for 3-4 days before the cups start falling apart. Oh, the and Gold card gives you a free "anything" drink for each 15 new coffee purchases.

Protip #26: Get friendly with the help and you can get freebie pastries and sandwiches at the end of day, when they either throw out the stuff that's left, or freeze it to give to the various church foodbanks that hand them out to homeless and poor people.

u know a bag of coffee costs $5 at the store, and provides you with UNLIMITED refills (as long as the bag still has coffee in it)

First, where the hell are you that a bag of beans costs only $5. Here in OC we're taking at least $6 or $7.

Second, it's a little tough to run a coffee grinder and brew coffee when you are living in a car or truck, or under an out-of-the-way bush (no electricity). DOH!

Unfortunately it doesn't sound like the woman in the article is eating that.

Point02GPA: She's two years younger than me. Looks durable. I'll have to get the wig out of pawn and some safes for the Ol' Avenger. Should be home before the 10PM news.

You *go*, Grampa!

They didn't have that here, only bunch of cookies and chocolate stuff, I was looking for something more tasty like this.

Starbucks food is basically inedible. How a coffee shop of any caliber can sell bagels that terrible is baffling to me, but they do.
