This would do well on the OCHO, snuggled between lawn darts and the International Championships of Sandcastle Building.

You know, hundreds of people die every year playing full contact lawn bowling.

Never let anyone tell you that Fark doesn't cater to the non-US Sports fan.

Amongst the dozens of "Peyton Tebow has a hangnail" threads every day we get a few threads about the great sporting events around the world that don't involve Americans.

Oh, wait, no we don't. We get a thread about the US Lawn Bowls championship. Farking fantastic. Way to go, guys. Not xenophobic at all, there.

Trapper439: Oh, wait, no we don't. We get a thread about the US Lawn Bowls championship

First line of the article: Bowlers from Northern Ireland, the Netherlands, Australia and other countries from all over the world donned their whites to compete in the U.S. Open of Lawn Bowling at the Laguna Beach Lawn Bowling Club on Friday.

The US Open is not the US Championships you twit.

Watched it years ago from my hotel balcony in Hong Kong. The game requires a very high skill level. The balls are not spherical and usually travel in a curve. How much and how far? Aye laddie that's the skill.

Try reading my post, son. I'd imagine that the US Open of lawn bowls includes Americans. If it didn't, it would be highly unlikely that there'd be a thread about it on Fark.

Which is exactly my point. Was there even a single thread about England and South Africa playing for the number one ranking in the second most popular team sport in the world last month? No, there wasn't. Because your 5% of the world's population thinks that nothing that happens outside your borders means anything.

Seriously, next time just go with something witty like "Soccer sucks, LOL" and slink back to one of the dozens of daily threads about how the Arkansas Pigfarkers just beat the New Orleans 69ers to win the "World Championship" in a sport that nobody outside the US even plays.
