I don't always go for the low-hanging fruit, but when I do I crawl on my belly like a snake to get it:

She's a Mann, baby!

Also, is she still married to Sean Penn's not-dead brother? Good songwriter himself.

Okoboji: It's not like she's lying - and yet, being a performer, her livelihood pretty much depends on the voyeur part...

Voyeurism is linked with an erotic or sexual flush at watching other people, many times with the people being watched unaware of the voyeur. Generally, a musical performance has nothing whatsoever to do with this.

FTFA: 'Mann called from Los Angeles to discuss her long path to freedom, the sick charm of Paul Ryan,'

Stopped reading right there.

1) From the little I got to the point she wants to make music but doesn't want to be famous?

STFU,GBITK and BMAS, biatch.

I am sick of people who wanted fame and fortune getting it and then complaining about how it sucks.

You get to do what you want, when you want, how you want and you're unhappy?

Fark you, Aimee.

Well, not only are you unhappy but you're a farking ungrateful POS.

'Ohhhhhhh record companies wanted me to write more popular songs so I would sell more records and every one - including ME - would make more money!'

Boo-farking-hoo.

And this: the new record is a 'song cycle' about people (women most likely) who get stuck in bad relations and end of therapy.

Why don't you try writing some songs about something other than your juvenile navel gazing?

As for your views on Ryan: come back after you read something other than DU and watch something other than MSNBC.

Moran.

This is why I take single reports of some famous person's assholishness with a block of salt. Everybody has a bad day or a moment when frustrations/angers at someone(s)/somebody(ies)/thing(s) else come to the fore in the vicinity of someone who that frustration/anger wasn't meant for. EVVVVVEEEERRRRYYYYBBBOOODDDDYYY!!!!! It's only when I hear many disparate reports of someone being an asshat that I start to think, "Hey, maybe (name of famous person) really is objectively a most unpleasant person."

Also, why don't people who say that so-and-so is an out-of-conrol douchcanoe ever seem to illustrate just how the douchecanoey-ness manifested itself?

And, while this is just a subjective thing (from my copious time as a waiter), I've found that if someone is overly nice to their waitstaff (famous or no), they most likely aren't objectively a most unpleasant person.

oh, and I couldn't love Aimee's music more if I tried.

I read enough of it to stand by my comments.

Interesting no one disputes my observations.

I'm sick of successful musicians, especially ones that haven't written anything but navel-gazing 'woe-is-me' songs aimed at 15 year old girls, biatching about how fame sucks.

If fame sucks soooooooo much than stop putting out records, performing and searching for an audience.

There's the problem. I had a girl in my senior class in high school who ALWAYS sang it as "even downtown". Now, she was in fact a complete moron, but that isn't a complete excuse. The question is, is subby a similar moron, or did they just know one too.

Who said anything about "original"? It's a natural reaction from nearly everyone who encounters you. You should thank them -- I mean, isn't that the point?
