Submitter: The one advantage

I applaud the way you snuck that bait in there Submitter. Its just subtle enough but just forward enough too. Because everything else about Mitt Romney just screams "Joe Six Pack."

Of course. Liquids such as beer should not be in the vicinity of the electronic circuitry inside Romney.

If there is any human on the planet Earth that needs a beer, it's Mitt Romney.
Come to think of it a joint would be much better.

I expect Republicans to blast Obama about drinking beer as a cheap political stunt that he knows Romney can't counteract due to his unflappable faith and therefore Obama hates Christians, Romney is automatically President and Obama has to massage Kobe beef cows until the Cubs win the World Series.

I'm no Obama supporter but he's got more than one advantage in that category. He is far more average than Romney.

When the glorious and worthy ceremony of thirst quenching by the nectar of God is bock blocked, by the virtue of a gentleman who is intelligent, accomplished and honest, and who will not participate in that ceremony under any circumstance, that gentleman's chance of being elected to the highest office in the land become exponentially less likely.

One of them grew up a sanctimonious stuffed-shirt that has zero empathy for anyone. The other didn't.

That's actually fairly accurate, though. The closest Obama got to the high life before being a senator was being a professor, which is quite literally suburban backyard barbecue territory. If I look out the window of my department at the parking lot on a Friday there is generally a portable grill and some chairs out there.

I mean, he's made some money since becoming Senator and then President in rapid succession, but before that he was basically generic white-collar suburbanite, albeit slightly better educated than normal. 2.5 kids, golden retriever, white picket fence, eats out once a week with the family type of crap.

Yeah, and it is clear when they speak which one actually understands not being rich. Mitt has always been rich and while that isn't a bad thing in itself but he exudes entitlement. He has zero empathy and he makes it clear.

2012-09-16 05:13:42 AM
It's true, Mitt can't drink a beer on tv, and Obama can. I don't even like beer and I have sierra nevada in the fridge to share.
Republicans can make up for it when the Democrats run a gay man or woman for president - mass weddings followed by mass deflowerings followed by mass birthings....

To be fair to Romney, he probably doesn't know much about beer but he knows some people who own breweries.

I'd vote for a Muslim over a Morman any day. At least Muslims will sell beer to infidels, even if they don't drink it themselves.

Well, if you don't count the quarter million or so per year his wife made at her "hospital job" (before that, she worked as a lawyer and in various political positions) while Barack was a state Senator - in a position that was pretty much created for her and eliminated right after she quit. The Obamas have been above middle class in income for quite a few years.

Or the well-above-middle class living he enjoyed while he was a kid in an elite (and expensive) private high school, living with his grandparents

Then, of course, there's the "considerations" he got as a working Chicago politician - like multiple shady real estate deals from a guy who's currently in prison for corruption.

Very poor attempt at false equivalency, but if you repeat it enough, many stupid people will accept it as fact.

Yep, an average guy who will be president twice. Romney, while obviously so much more exceptional, will be President never.

Romney's campaign is sinking, because it's becoming apparent to everyone that he isn't fit to be President. He's starting to panic. And so are you.

The one advantage Barack Obama has

I mean, sure, that and the fact that Barack Obama doesn't speak and act like the rich douchebag archetype from every TV show ever.

2012-09-16 07:59:56 AM
Look, Romney might not "get" the middle class or be able to "relate" to the poor in America, but these are the reasons he would be much better during a global crisis. Other countries are much wealthier because they keep much of our own countries wealth safe from the government and taxes. This allows those countries to have higher standards of living, like that of Mitt Romney. All these riots would be stopped in a second if Obama knew how to relate to those people, but this is just another one of Obama's failures. Mitt Romney knows how to talk to them, he has the proper upbringing and etiquette to speak to them. Isn't it time we looked for a higher standard for our country and ourselves? Sure having a beer around a weber grill and talking football is fun and all, but seems a bit low class if we want global aspirations.
