Oh, if only Paul and Gene would stay home, and keep their scabs with them.

The family was out out for dinner last weekend, and before long there was another family being seated at the next table. They had a 1ish year old wearing a Kiss Destroyer album cover tee. I had that album when it came out (before that kid's parents were born).
Okay maybe not so csb, pass the Geritol...

Looks like they're staying in the garage with Kitty Pryde and Nightcrawler

The article lists Mark St. John as a living ex-member. He's been dead for quite a while now.

Looks like KISS sees itself as always, a corporation that has a pretty awful track record against its former employees. If your name isn't Stanley or Simmons, forget it, you got your paycheck years ago, GTFO.

Ace Frehley must be spinning in his grave.

Listened to it religiously when I was 13. And bought AliveII the day it came out with money I got from my first job.

Yes, really.

I listened to them when I was 12-13 back in the late 70's. I honestly can't see why anyone would listen to them past that age. They farking suck.

When Destroyer came out, I was a 14 yo kid who had his motorcycle license giving the older girls rides so I could feel their tittays on my back. Life was farking good. now GTF off my lawn.

God of Thunder was the first Kiss song I liked. I was 14 when Destroyer came out. There are Polaroids of me doing the blood spitting thing. God of Thunder was one of the first bass lines I learned.

Not much of a KISS fan though. Just one of those early teens things...

Csb:
I ran into Tommy Thayer at a Steel Panther show. I told him to "hold onto 18" (referencing his one hit from his previous hair band, Black n' Blue which Gene managed). He gave he a surprised chuckle.

KISS are awesome. Paul and Gene are full of it, but thre is nothing more awesome than a KISS concert. You always get your money's worth.

See any live version of "Let Me Go Rock & Roll" to see all four members shine and demonstrate the spectacle of a KISS show.

I first saw Kiss in 1984 and last saw them in 1997. Each of the half a dozen or so shows that I went to was awesome.

That's the key, Gene and Paul have a formula. They know they aren't the kind of band to deviate from it and start something new. KISS is what it is. Gene, he is who he is. A marketing whore. You will notice they won't apologize or deviate from that. And for good reason. If you like KISS music you will watch, you will buy.

Paul and Gene know what they are doing. End of story.

'Kiss' is a song written and recorded by Prince and covered by Tom Jones.
'KISS' is the lame seventies band.

God, Kiss sucks so bad. I was given free tickets to see them a few years ago, but opted to stay home, on concert night, to watch TV.

What an idiotic and lame thing to do. I can't relate to that at all.

Ace could give a shiat about Gene and Paul; he's said as much in every interview I've seen/read(watch any of his appearances on That Metal Show). Plus, he's sober now, so he's thinking more clearly. Peter, I'm not so sure about; although the last time I saw him interviewed, he seemed to be at peace with his life.

You know it's time for your band to retire when you've replaced so many original members that you've essentially become a tribute band to yourselves.

2012-09-17 08:05:50 AM
I won tickets to see them this year. I saw a guy wearing a tee shirt from their "Farewell Tour"....from 2000.

That reminds me...I have to find out if there's any hacks for the arcade version of Guitar Hero. If I hear "Rock And Roll All Night" one more time, I'm just gonna smash the machine. (That and Slow Ride...stop smashing buttons so you can pick something besides that song three times in a row!) God I hate KISS.
