My god! Is that an homage? That was one of the greatest story arcs ever, and I used to ride up to the Plaid Pantry to get the new issue as soon as it came out. If you didn't it would be gone and the ARCO on the other side of our suburban 'Paradise' housing development didn't carry comics. If you missed out, you had to take the bus all the way downtown or to the mall.

To be honest, I haven't read MM since it got "De-Kirby"-ized and reduced in powers as well as eye lens size (and it was drawn by Steve Ditko no less, which no doubt was Stan Lee's way of saying "Hey Jack! When I said "F*ck you", I wasn't really saying "F*ck you". What I really meant to say was "F*CK YOU!!"

The Avengers don't need much: Cap, Thor, Iron Man, three other supporting actors, and some kick-ass villains. You don't need the dumb animal broad. You don't Wolverine, Daredevil or any of the big stars. They don't need a West Coast branch, they don't need a Great Lakes branch, and they don't need to be "new and improved.

In summation, quit overthinking this shiate and quit being so cute.
