I thought the match started at 2:45 so I missed the first Bayern goal but I got to see Schweinsteiger's beauty around the 12th minute.

Mueller just missed the most beautiful set up in the world. Ugh. I guess someone has to act like Gomez.

Professional leagues > a bunch of college kids goofing around between classes and binge drinking.

The College Football thread was greenlit hours ago, but isn't scheduled to go live until noon Eastern. The European soccer leagues had live games that started around 8AM Eastern

The game was at like, 6am and I didn't even get home until 2:00 last night. But the Tiger of Bavaria has scored in his last two matches.

Is it safe to say Herr Basti is back?

I think so. He's still not 100% but you can tell he's feeling better. Going for that goal took a lot of confidence that he was healed. If he was still uncertain that he was healing, he would have held back a bit.

I was worried about that a bit after the Champions League final and a somewhat poor showing in the Euros. (Toni Kroos should have started.)

But for now, I think he's at least ready to start games and get subbed off for Martinez if he needs a rest.

After three weeks, there are only two teams who have taken the maximum nine points. Bayern München...and Eintracht Frankfurt?!?!?
