drewogatory: Is it wrong that I'm switching to Barca at 11? This team is just painful to watch.

I'm just not watching now. Just can't stand it.

Don't blame you. This is rough. This is Blackburn-esque. Just absolute shambles from the team as a whole.

The Being Liverpool preview shown during the break has a quick shot of shirtless Gerrard. Only high point of watching this match so far.

I just had to turn off watching college football because it was the worst performance by Virginia Tech I've ever seen so I feel your pain.

It's a sad day when the club you've supported for almost 40 years is about 10th on the list of must watch fixtures every matchday. Horrible, unwatchable football.

That's the spirit. You'll never walk alone, eh?

It's a sad day when our best player is our right back playing on the opposite side of the pitch. AT least Borini's playing up top now with Suarez on the wing. Better position for both of them, honestly.

Oh, I'll still listen to the matches (and probably attend at least 5), but if the choice is between watching Messi,Xavi and Iniesta or Jonjo, Borini and Kelly... I'm happy to tape it and watch it later.

What if Messi and Iniesta aren't playing?

Just not our day today, is it?

Bring on Assaidi. Let's see what he can do. Play Adam Morgan more.

I sincerely apologize for yelling at this ungodly hour. For those of you who didn't see this when it started, people playing can drop points and go below 0 with bad picks, so you can still join now, make some picks and curse yourself for making bad picks like the rest of us do.

Ta Chuck.

One is in Rome, hence no contribution to the festivities.

ScouserDuck: So Phoenix got a pro (UCL) soccer team called Phoenix FC. The real shame is we're called the wolves for no good reason and our logo looks like something an AYSO team would have.

If only there was some connection to another creature, perhaps a mythological one?

LucklessWonder: Looks like I would have done better by simply not playing today

Are you the next Liverpool manager?

So is this how it's going to go? Lose, then draw, then lose, then draw? Next week is going to suck.

At least I got chicken and beer.

Next week is a must win and not just because it's Man U.

I have to admit, it's disturbing to see Pool in the relegation zone. The fans deserve better.

And I've called for a 1-1 draw for the Liverpool match. Please let me be wrong there!

Well it's about time I started shouting boing! boing! on Fark as we Baggies seem to be very few and far between!
Just a pity we crapped this one out, but at least we did it to one of the few teams I really respect in the EPL

Well done FFC, might have been a different result if not for PO's brain fart

Not too many (in fact, you're the only one I've seen in these threads), but welcome to them regardless. If I had to figure out a ratio based on posting I'd say it's 30% Arsenal fans, 30% Liverpool fans, 20% Manchester United fans and the last 10% assorted other EPL teams.

In other news, Messi and Villa put in 3 in the last 16 minutes off the bench and Real loses to Sevilla.

I would say as many Spurs fans as ManU fans, but they seem to be AWOL at the moment.

It's nice to see another supporter of one of the smaller teams round here. At the moment I think we have one of every team in the EPL apart from Southampton and Sunderland.

My prediction for this match: Reading 1-2 Tottenham

I'm still waiting for AVB to get his feet under him, I think it will begin with this match.

2012-09-16 11:19:20 AM
That was a beautiful goal, Spurs.

Textbook goal by Spurs.

2012-09-16 11:31:54 AM
Spurs dominating in possession.

How was that not a 2nd goal?

2012-09-16 11:32:15 AM
Hoping Spurs can get 2 so we don't have a repeat of the west brom and norwich matches. And I can't believe they didn't score there.

He shanked it right into the net! Now put in Dempsey.

2012-09-16 12:35:01 PM
That whizzing sound you heard was not the spinning ball contacting the net, it was the spines being forcefully pulled out of the Reading players.

Through their mouths.
