Richie Incognito is a known asshole. It's no surprise someone was kicking him. Hell the offender should be paid the 21k not fined it.

Kicking someone to stop them from breaking your ankle: 21k fine.

Trying to break someone's ankle: *crickets*

Tell us more about that "player safety" thing, Mr. Goodell....

I'd be willing to bet there are plenty of players lining up to kick Richie Incognito for $21k.

Yea but the jerk was laying on his ankle for a stupid amount of time. He deserved to get kicked.

Yep. And here's the play in question. The best view is right at the start. Incognito lines up at left guard. As the ball is fumbled, Incognito holds Smith and wrestles him to the ground; afterwards, Incognito is clearly seen holding Smith's leg down and trying to turn his ankle. It's pretty flagrant and I don't know what the league office was seeing on that play, especially given Incognito's reputation.

What the fark? from the article

"The league was not convinced Incognito did anything wrong. "

This is why parents don't let kids play football.

I said this earlier, but I'll never understand how the Dolphins could kick on Chad Johnson to help preserve their image, but keep Incognito on the team. It's absolutely contradictory.
