w00t! We're moving to Lexington over the next couple of months, and it's good to see that there's a good level of tech there -- besides being the worldwide domination HQ of Fark, it's also the last stop on the "Promote the Open Internet" tour.

I think it'll be after October 9th, though, so I won't have to worry about dwindling beer supplies. At least there's always bourbon (which, thank goodness, I already like).

I spent a summer in Danville in high school. Centre College was my GSP campus.

There's a nice labyrinth that would probably be fun or nauseating while drunk.

Agreed. Throughout history the only people who ever died were killed by religious people. If there was no religion, we'd all be, like, immortal, man.

SPOILER ALERT

Drew Curtis on 'The Future of Local Communities':

"More locally-targeted advertising, especially in the form of subtle, individually promoted ads via paid membership forums."

You may now feel free to skip this event.

October 10 - Event with Fark on The Future of Local Communities - Lexington, KY

Oh crap. Like -- all of Fark? Like, attendance is mandatory? Ugh, I guess I'd better get plane tickets. What are we all going to say? I guess maybe I'll jsut BS it like in high school English. Should we, like, all meet somewhere and sort this thing out? I'm nervous!

There was this little gem at the very bottom of the article page...*Fun Fact: The bus is the same vehicle that John McCain used as the Straight Talk Express in 2008.

Yeah, we have no shortage of that here.  Bluegrass Tavern on Cheapside has pretty much all of them  :)

How do you stand the drivers?

And I applaud their attempt at bike lanes but I wouldn't feel safe anywhere but on an exclusive bike trail.

But the beer is decent as is the farmers market.

I suck it up and just remember I spend less than half an hour a day during the week on the road. That helps a lot.

Don't worry Farkers. Just tell everyone you're from /r/atheism and nobody will be the wiser.
