Rarely has the fail tag been more appropriate.

Wow. This doesn't end well for Kansas.

I wonder how long it will take Kansas and the right in general to live all this down. It took the left about 40 years to live down the hippie revolution psychedelic spitting on soldiers stuff, and that wasn't even Democratic elected officials.

Long after the Tea party and birther crap has died out this is going to be a burden for the GOP.

2012-09-14 08:32:55 AM
I think there's a pretty good chance they do it, and now on top of everything else, Birtherism is a national news story again.

I hope the Governor of Hawaii sends these guys a picture of his nutsack.

2012-09-14 08:36:33 AM
Why does Kansas feel the need to embarrass themselves nationally every few years? You'd think they'd want to lay low so we don't figure out their average IQ is around 79.

2012-09-14 08:37:38 AM
You libs need to stop harping on this birther stuff.

Is it just me, or does it look like birtherism has gone from being a handy euphemism for racists to being an act of desperation?

Its always been about desperation.

Do it. Please do it. If any of you live in Kansas, call this guy and thank him. Doooooo it!

I really hope they do for that reason. The GOP is the party of Birtherism. Let the country see it.

Romney will be forced to either condemn them (lol right) and lose the support of the mouth breather brigade, or endorse them and lose support from everyone else.

He'll try to play both sides of course, but it'll be funny nonetheless.

2012-09-14 08:52:06 AM
The rest of us need to start a fund to relocate all non-mouthbreathing asshat Farkers from kansas; the Mecca of derp. Then we fence it in, hand them the deed, knock a star off the flag and be done with them.

They have less than 9 days to figure this garbage. I'm getting my Kansas ballot on September 23. Should be a rollicking next week!

At this point a part of me hopes that on Inauguration Day 2013 Obama stops mid-oath, snatches the Bible from John Roberts' hands, tears it asunder to reveal a never-before-seen copy of the Necronomikoran Junior just as Jim Ross screams "Oh mah gaw, that's the Kenyan National Anthem!" then Obama rips off his suit to reveal a dashiki, climbs onto the podium and waggles his dong at the nation.

2012-09-14 08:58:26 AM
Romney accepted Kobach's endorsement in January. His campaign acknowledged in April that Kobach is an informal advisor. A major advocate of voter ID laws and measures against illegal immigrants, Kobach has also been instrumental in shepherding immigration planks into the GOP platform this year.

I don't see anywhere in there that Kansas is requiring Romney to provide any evidence of his eligibility.

2012-09-14 08:58:49 AM
Not that Kansas would ever vote for Obama anyway, but all this would do is result in reminding people what a bunch of morons birthers are.

2012-09-14 09:01:30 AM
Well, right now 538 gives Obama a 0.3% chance of winning Kansas, which I think is probably generous, considering there are a few states that he has Obama at 0% (Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Oklahoma, Alabama), and I'd look at Kansas as being in the same boat at those 5.

So, while it would be unbelievably stupid... it really wouldn't have much affect on the race.

The board will send records requests to Hawaii, Arizona and Mississippi for more documentation of Obama's birth.

...Arizona and Mississippi? Wat?

Maybe not in KS, but it could have ripple effects in IA or MO by bringing the birther nonsense back to the forefront of the election.

Didn't Romney make a birther-lite statement fairly recently about there being no question where he wss born?

He needs to be asked about his thoughts on this.

honestly, i don't see a downside to this for obama. there was no way he was going to win kansas anyway. and this just highlights how farking insane the republican party is and makes it a front-and-center national news story. plus, it will force romney to comment, which will be hilarious.

I wonder what would happen if they did it. I mean if they actually went through with it on Election Day. Wouldn't it be cool if Kansas had no delegates seated in the Electoral College?

During his speech at the RNC he said something like America needs to be led by a real American. Sorry, I don't remember the exact quote.

I'd be more worried if California or New York, states Obama is expected to win handily, went down the birther road. Kansas is such a pile of fail, tornadoes keep leveling the place every year. TAKE A HINT, KANSANS.

I think it's only fair that Kansas return all federal funding they've received in the past 4 years. It's not proper that they should benefit from this massive case of fraud perpetrated by that evil blah man.
