I don't know if it is the same for everyone else, but when I viewed the article, right between that totally ridiculous headline using the silly made-up word "Ratpocolypse!" and the body of the article, was an advertisement for how you can get an "Internet Marketing Degree!"

Not the same thing I know, but it struck me funny.

Hearing people say "The Sci-Fi Channel" always brings back fond memories of MST3K.
Hearing people say "SyFy" makes me think of super-crappy movies.
They need to make "Rifftrax: The Series" and have them Riff some of those super crappy movies!

Solution: Street Legal Coyotes. Release them to run loose in the city at night and then use radio-receiving brain implants with neural pain stimulators to make them return to their kennels at night.

Years ago they gutted a building across the street from my office in the old part of town and holy smoke did we suddenly have rats. At night they would gnaw the insulation off of our computer cables. In the day they would scurry around causing pandemonium.

Good times.

Then the rat evolves at an exponential rate cross breeds with the Goeduck causing an elephant size penis then it goes on a rampage but instead of spreading rabies it spreads Pubic lice who are also hyper-evolved.

What we need to do is get some large traps, bait them, connect them to some sort of autoloader mechanism which rolls them into the launching chamber of a potato gun which is hooked up to a compressor. Whenever the chamber detects movement and something warm inside, a small programmable microcontroller triggers it to launch the rat (or whatever) into Elliot Bay.

If the tourists like fish throwing, they should love this.

This lady is the perfect example of why interviewing people on the street is the stupidest journalistic trend in the history of mankind.

How likely is it for a rat to have rabies? Nearly unheard of. How likely is it for a rat with rabies to live long enough to pass it on? Nearly impossible. Rats are dead-end carriers.

Can wild rats give you diseases? Yep: easily. Rabies? Less likely than reported alien abductions.

That's some mighty fine reporting, Lou.

No. I'll be casting this masterpiece and it will be on skinemax. It's more classy.

Lead role as a "washed up hooker on Aurora" goes to Michelle Bauer NSFW but edited for skinemax quality. No. not Jack Bauer's daughter - the chick from "Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers" and "Gingerbreadman 2: The passion of the crust".

I don't want to give away the ending but everyone knows you are going to need a chainsaw to castrate a giant Rat Gooeyduck penis.

You may have a cameo as
"man who get's eaten by giant Pubic Lice".

Seattle could have another Great Fire.

On my wall...
imageshack.us
"The Underground City
After the great Seattle fire of 1889, cities from all over the world sent money to Seattle. With the 120,000 dollars sent, people began to move here. According to the 1890 census, the city gained 17,000 people. The rebuilding of the town started before the ashes were cold. Instead of wood like the original town, they used bricks and mortar. They regraded the hills by raising the streets. The raising of the streets caused the first floors of buildings to become basements. These basements were forgotten and called the Underground City. The great Seattle fire killed one horse, and a million rats. No people were killed."
