I support Mitt's statement, ...whatever it was?

Wow, this Romney brand of stupid is rubbing off on people.

2012-09-13 02:53:49 PM
It's not about Mitt Romney's "attack" being "false," whatever that means. It's about stepping back and seeing the bigger picture. And, frankly, I'm surprised more people haven't done just that. There have been lots of different analyses posted of this, and some of them have hit on some of the points, but none of them has hit on all of the points to reveal what's really behind the curtain.

Well, that ends now.

Here's what we know. I mean, what we really know. We know that the embassy in Libya was attacked, and it had no marines to guard it.

But why were there no marines? And who knew there were no marines?

Well, before we answer that, think about recent speculation in the press concerning the concern that President Obama may have been colluding -- unwittingly or otherwise, who knows -- with Al Queda to get them to turn over Osama bin Laden and make him (Obama) look like heroic. So he could "spike the football" and look tough on terror. Yeah, right. It's not like we all didn't already know about his tradition of working with terrorists -- heck, we knew that already from all the terrorists he used to pal around with when he was younger, Ayers and that America-hating pastor of his (and is there another hateful pastor in this current story? You betcha! Coincidence? You betcha...NOT!). So I'm imagining a conversation, a conversation that goes something like this on some dark night:

White House, B.O.: Yes, yes Achmed, I will make sure that the embassy is unguarded. Do not worry. But you must attack very quickly and it must be very chaotic so that my opponent will speak incorrectly and be damaged in the polls.

Achmed: It will be done, Lord Commander. Allahu Akbar

BO: Allahu Ackbar. Mitt Romney will never know what hit him. Ha ha ha.

Achmed: Ha ha ha.

BO: HA HA HA

Achmed: HAHAHAHAHA

And here we are now, all according to plan. Here we are.

The Republicans are shameless liars who put party before country and will use any opportunity they can to try to win back power.

We've known this for years, but it really just hit home these last few days.

It would be funny if Ryan lost his Congressional seat also.

We also know Netanyahu is trying to egg the US into attacking Iran. This as a fact. The Israelis have a lot of weapons too.

Netanyahu disguised some of his soldiers as libyans and attacked the consulate office to goad the US into attacking Iran. He did the same thing to get the US to invade Iraq.

Thing is, that is actually a perfectly reasonable statement. It amounts to "Whatever I say is something I believe in, so even without knowing what you are referring to, I will stand by that statement; I do not flip flop."

There are plenty of juicy soundbites to use against Mittens, but IMO that is not one of them.

But in the context he doesn't even know what his position was. It's a cop out. You don't say "What's my position on my statement? I don't know what I said at the time but I agree with it."

You are saying it's ok for Romney not to remember what his position on something was?

That's laughable.

I love how the GOP thinks this whole thing was a media hit on Romeny. The dumbass CALLED A PRESS CONFERENCE TO ATTACK THE PRESIDENT. He could have quietly released a statement about his support for our brave Americans overseas, just like other Republican leaders did. But instead, Mitt begged for this to be a major story about HIM, and he got exactly that. He made this bed, fark him.

Beyond that, AlQaeda may also have timed this to affect the eelection, calculating that it will hurt Obama. They would love nothing more than to replace his terrorist-killin' ass with a soft punk whose foreign policy team will be leftovers from the Bush administration, under which AlQaeda thrived and grew. The Neocons were the best thing that ever happened to them, and I'll bet they want them back.
