The Tom Holland documentary (Islam: The Untold Story) has been replaced with something else called 'islam the untold story', though the replacement is an adoring pro-islam fluff piece .

The REAL, banned documentary has been removed and scrubbed from the Internet... so as not to incite muslim violence.

TappingTheVein: Wittenberg Dropout: I bet jews did this.

Latest news indicate that it is an Egyptian Copt christian from California. Makes sense because the "film" depicts muslim violence specifically on Christians, at least the scenes I've seen.

As if muslims needed an excuse to murder and burn stuff on 9/11 anniversary. There are indications that the attack on the Benghazi consulate was pre-planned, the movie was a lame excuse.

I think it's a twofer. The protests were legitimate, but then organized terrorists used them as cover to attack the embassy with RPGs, etc. in Libya.

The President's Pastor didn't then take his congregation to go assault the local government offices.

fusillade762: Why does the Islamic world seem to susceptible to trolling? Can we turn that to our advantage?

We have done before, like when the Crusaders told the Muslims that the Jews attacked their holy shrines and then told the Jews that the Muslims attacked their holy sites and when they had finished attacking each other, moved in and made a power grab. Of course the side effects several centuries later were not so good.

No, really.

They played an important part in ours, and they did have their Enlightenment, but it was cut short because of the invasion of the Mongols, and the spread of the Black Plague (that came along with the mongols).

That's true, but they backed off their own enlightenment when the first siege of Vienna failed and they doubled-down on the derp after the second proved they weren't the invincible hand of God.

They've not recovered since.

quatchi: Here's the quintessential irony of events like this for me.

Someone makes a film about how Islam has a historical problem with violence.

Religious fundamentalists become incensed at being so disparaged that they haul off and act like violent lunatics.

Funny stuff.

/Not the good kind of funny, no.

If you replace the part about Islam's historical violence with blaspheming their version of jesus you would probably be, you know, factual.

This is comparable to some muslims making interracial gay porn starring jesus and then mailing trailers to stormfront, freeperville, and other right wing lunatic organizations. I guarantee a few of them could easily be prompted to violence.

Need to take the kid gloves off and leave them off. Pussy McHopeChange is just like Carter.

Yeah, I think the State Department has some answering to do. What exactly is our security footing at these embassies. You know, we don't have a spotless history with those things over there.

The Libyan thing is kind of baffling. Apparently there have been other recent attacks on that consulate and those of other nations in that area. We've had drones checking out terror cell areas around there since mid-summer. The diplomat that got killed even raised the terrorist issue with Washington.

This sucks. We look completely unprepared.

No, they do not. You cannot excuse violence for any reason. If that were the case, liberals and conservatives in this country would have long ago went to war (conservatives winning of course, we know how to shoot and we own guns). Sound like an apologist.
