They probably don't claim to be fluent in English.

St_Francis_P: They probably don't claim to be fluent in English.

Tea Partiers would probably claim to "speak American" rather than "speak English."

2012-09-12 07:23:56 PM
I don't think they were typed at all.

2012-09-12 07:28:51 PM
Good for them for the effort.

Totes not staged......

2012-09-12 07:39:20 PM
Anyone read Arabic?

2012-09-12 07:52:51 PM
I like to see that they had the courage to do that

I'll give them a pass

How would Subby do writing a sign to Libyans on a placard.
Does Subby speak Libyan?

\hint, its likely Libyan arabic or Berber

2012-09-12 08:20:13 PM
No, I think the teahadis have them beat on the ignorance scale.

2012-09-12 08:30:35 PM
I'll give them a pass since English is not their first language probably.

I was gonna say, they have a much better grasp of English than most Americans do of Arabic

So, umm... Here is the moderate Muslim outrage?

2012-09-12 08:43:57 PM
That's more of an apology than I've ever seen for Christian Talibangelicals from the Christians who supposedly don't agree with them yet never speak against them.

2012-09-12 08:45:24 PM
With any luck this fine behavior may even spread to London and Paris.

bojon: Totes not staged......

Meaning? You think they talked to al Qaeda and terrorists and coordinated this display?

"Hey latest #2 guy in al Qaeda. I know something that will keep the Americans off-guard. We'll go out and make signs criticizing you and claiming that, hee hee, Islam is , hee hee, a peaceful religion. Oh, Allah. I barely got that out with a straight face. What do you think? Good idea?"

Do you think this is a false flag operation by evil Muslims who really are just trying to fool us?

2012-09-12 08:49:25 PM
I am impressed. Brave

It appears so. Good for them.

When we had someone from the US try to apologize for our idiot president and his idiot war a few years back, they got death threats from their fellow Americans that were credible enough to warrant police escorts.

Of course they followed it up with a quintuple-platinum album that should have been subtitled "Suck a Dick, Rednecks".

I salute the brave people of Bengazi. They are perfectly justified in opposing having their religion slandered (and we can debate if it was), but 99.9% of them understand that it wasn't the US that was at fault, and that violence isn't the answer to it. There are a few agent provocateurs out there. Just like there are a few here. However the ones over there aren't running the RNC or running for President.

Not well at all. And I'm really not serious about the criticism of their spelling. But I do know how to improve my chances of a greenlight.

I'm glad to see this. If only to show some people that those around the world are more like us than they realize.

Their English is way better than my...uh...whatever they speak.

Wait a minute. What, were there like 12 people there? Looked like the one sign was passed around.

Hell, they sound more literate than the teahadists.

/I respect that from them

Nothing but admiration for these people. Since theres a good chance they'll get a Molotov through their window for stepping forward like this.

The Mossad is causing these riots. They know this would weaken Obama and give Romney a shot at winning. If Romney wins, he'll attack Iran and support Israel in doing so.

What you had was a protest of some crap instigated by Americans, which was used by a small group of terrorists to make violence. I harbor no ill will toward the majority of Libyans and plenty of ill will toward the small number of people who were violent, just as I harbor ill will against the small number of people in my own country who stoke the flames of hatred.

I fully expect the US will provide intelligence of the whereabouts of the terrorists to the Libyans, who will hopefully kill those sons of biatches. Likewise, I'd like to see certain people in this country jailed for their roles in stirring up hatred overseas.

B-b-but the Fark Stormfront Brigade told me all one billion Muslims in the world are violent psychopaths

This was a good find. Thank you subby.

KidneyStone: Wait a minute. What, were there like 12 people there? Looked like the one sign was passed around.

Clearly that one sign was being shared amongst multiple people, but that speaks more to the true sentiment I feel, that multiple people wanted to be photographed sharing that message.

the "profit" guy and his son were in 5 of the 15 pics.

Clearly he was signalling their support for Romney.

I see about 20 people, probably paid by the government to be there. Nice photo op though, I was really touched.

Meanwhile, violent riots are still going on in Cairo

Our war is NOT with Islam. It is with those who use Islam, economic suppression and religious zealotry as cover for their actions, and a rich source of recruitment.

AND with those in our own country who exploit every damn resource in sight, both in our country and in theirs, run off with huge profits, and also fan the flames of ignorance and hatred on both sides with their greed. Damned if they don't make use of the prevailing religion here to hide behind as well!

Look at that smile. Hey come on, man- he just NAILED IT!

One of the worst days I've ever seen for the Republican party and their candidate in an election year. So much shame.

It's amazing how much love it takes to make up for a single individual's hatred sometimes.

It's also amazing to see it succeed.

That's right, dawgs. Ain't no profit to act like total assholes!

2012-09-12 10:01:48 PM
Well, the 2 destroyers that just parked themselves off the shores of Libya may have something to do with that. Sad, though, that this needs to be done to remind people that all people of a certain color are not the same

So, are you, like, a real person? Or just a troll? Who pays you, Drew or the RNC? What's your hourly rate? If you're not being paid... why do you do this?

But on the violence scale, the jihadis and unionhadis are far far ahead.

I'm pretty sure most of those signs can be taken to simply mean "Please don't bomb us"

2012-09-12 10:06:22 PM
It's a small crowd. Then again, a lot of people probably think the same but are intimidated. Good for these brave folks. Libya hasn't been a safe place for the last couple of years.
