KidneyStone: ChuDogg: riot

Things are heating up too! A few malotov cocktails, teargas coming in. I;m getting another beer

Daybreak now and things are settling down it seems, but more and more people keep pouring in as they wake up. Looks organized too, every few minutes vans and motorbikes drive up and drop people off, then drive off presumably to pick up more people.

Ive been monitoring this on a few other forums, but farkers seem more interested in discusing romney or trolls. I have a feeling we are gonna wake up to some interesting news

tinfoil-hat maggie: Sabyen91: Karma Curmudgeon: Sabyen91: I am not sure I would recognize their hallmarks.

From what I can gather it was just a mob scene. No suicide bombers or paramilitary units. Not timed to coincide with any other attack. Angry mob isn't really what they do.

The fact that they died of smoke inhalation might be a strike against the al qaeda theory. I just don't think they tie themselves to one tactic, though. I am not sure what to think on who instigated what.

Wait, I've only read the ambassador died of smoke inhalation, I have no idea on the other three, any links? And there are lots of article's of RPG's being fired at the consulate and gunman battling Libyan security forces for some reports say hours. Even the administration seems to be saying the attackers used the cover of the protestesters.

I had heard they all did. I don't have a link. It might not have been the case. It is frustrating how little information is available and how much of it is noise.

We should be supplying these people with radios and TVs and broadcast American Top 40 and Three's Company reruns and al-jazeera 24/7.

I'm not kidding. Don't forget:

When reporters asked the Alexandria protesters why they were attacking Secretary Clinton's motorcade, they said that according to the internet, Clinton had manipulated the Egyptian election to favor the Muslim Brotherhood candidate Mohamed Morsi, who won the presidency.

Me, neither. They don't stick to one tactic, but the head office likes showy stuff and they almost always take ownership of an attack. But I was also unaware of Al-Awhateverhisnameis' statement yesterday. And now I'm listening to Maddow say it started with a truckful of armed guys initiating the assault so ya, I'm guessing so now.

The Mossad is causing these riots. They know this would weaken Obama and give Romney a shot at winning. If Romney wins, he'll attack Iran and support Israel in doing so.

In a telephone interview Tuesday with The Wall Street Journal, a man identifying himself as Mr. Bacile said he was a 52-year-old Israeli-American real-estate developer in California who raised $5 million from 100 Jewish donors to promote the film.

He characterized the film as a political effort to call attention to the hypocrisies of Islam. It has been promoted by Terry Jones, the Florida pastor whose burning of Qurans previously saparked deadly riots around the world.

Sam Bacile, an Israeli-american film maker directed and produced the video.

Update on that: The film-maker has gone missing, and evidence shows that his real name is probably not Sam Bacile, and he is probably not an Israeli.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if a Romney SuperPAC was behind this. That would certainly explain Mitten's shiat-eating smirk at his press conference.

According to AP Ansar al-Sharia claimed credit. That would make more sense as it is a local terrorist group and would take much less planning in response to that idiotic movie.

You know, I think Ambassador Stevens would have been proud of this "counter-protest" and the progress this it represents. Can you imagine Libyans being able to do this a year ago? Do you recognize the absolute monumental step this represents?

In an odd way, this may be the most fitting tribute to the ambassador.

West Virginia? I agree.

Nah, you'd just need the glass parking lot. No one would go to the funerals because all the relatives of those inbred motherfarkers all live in the same area.

Oh well, so much for tolerance.

West Virginia is a national laughingstock for a reason.

Because they're unlucky enough to be economically disadvantaged, land locked in a mountain range, and don't have the same access to trade and employment as the rest of the country?

I'm not saying that their lives are worth as much as that of a person, just curious to see how the double standard works.

My people are from W. Virginia. It's on their behalf that I routinely say that the concept that "whites have it easy in America" has absolutely destroyed Appalachia. There is no "United White Trash College Fund" and yet people from the hills need assistance obtaining higher education at least as much as the kids who have the United Negro College Fund.

ANYONE'S mind is a terrible thing to waste.

Posting a picture of me has to be a violation of Fark protocol. Jefferson said when a government fails it is the duty of the people to take over. I'm thinking the families and friends of this big mob won't be rushing to turn them in. This is a case where it's important to consider if these were your father and brothers. Educated, and strong enough to go to Lybia to build bridges. Then this. Signs are nice. Action counts.

Because atheism is a persistant constant and religion is an arbitrary variable. Religion would only manifest in some random pointless haphazard cobbled together amalgam of fear and ignorance.

How open minded of you.

See this is where I fall off the rails with aithiests. While on one hand I applaud the insistence on scientific method, while on the other hand I can't quite get over the snarky denial of the fact that there are commonalities amongst all religion that provide interesting points of study which may be relevant to the human existence. Such commonalities may in fact point to the existence of a being or beings superior to humans who may play a role in setting up the parameters of the observable universe.

Don't you find that whole denial at the very least bit unscientific at a basic premise?

I dunno man...

Actually your commonalities argument isn't persuasive or particularly scientific. As a matter of fact the evidence might become less persuasive BECAUSE of commonalities. Religions often co-opt myths from previous religions.

The Mossad is causing these riots. They know this would weaken Obama and give Romney a shot at winning. If Romney wins, he'll attack Iran and support Israel in doing so.
Oh don't be shy, just come out and say how much you hate jews. You're not alone (especially on FARK)

It has been promoted by Terry Jones, the Florida pastor whose burning of Qurans previously sparked deadly riots around the world.

Sam Bacile, an Israeli-american film maker directed and produced the video.

With one hundred jewish financers. Not saying Isreal was behind it, but it is a decidedly jewish source.
