It's like the US Mint lost all design sense about a decade ago.

Take any of the old (mid-late 20th c.) FRNs, hold them at arm's length, and the portraits almost look like little B&W photographs. Take today's (1996- ), and they look like drawings.

/why does every likeness of Jackson have to be him holding that cape

It's a little known fact that Jackson is holding that cape because he was the original goddamned Batman
