Last night's episode was awesome.

Poor Tig. :(

Tig gonna go OFF on some home boys.

Show had jumped the shark, though. Might not bother watching it anymore.

Well, the line of blame is fuzzy. He really has only himself to blame for the outcome because of his "involvement" with Pope's daughter (trying to keep things vague for anyone who may not have seen season 4 yet), but the whole reason he did was because of Clay's lie. So does he blame Pope... or Clay?

Eh, I don't think it has yet. Is it a little insane that Jax didn't follow through with Clay at the end of last season? A little. But it was also a pretty ingenious move on Kurt Sutter's part to keep us watching.

My question is this - did we really need to see Jimmy Smits' hairy ass last night? That was foul.

"Remember, with great power comes great responsibility"
"....I ain't no Spider-Man ni**a!"

And yea, you're gonna be a little confused if you missed all last season.

Ok, what about a spin off series, a bunch of old retired biker dudes with tracheostomies all being mischievous and fresh toward the CNAs in a nursing home... I call it "Sons of Malarkey"...?

Keywork99: So does he blame Pope... or Clay?

He's going to blame Clay, guaranteed. Clay's lie is what caused it all to snowball.

Keywork99:

I remember Sutter saying "This season will have even more explosions and nudity!" My first thought was "great, more man ass". Then the show opened and they showed two very nice lady butts, then *BAM* Jimmy Smit ass.

Son's of Arthritis? That way they don't have to change any of the SoA insignias

No doubt.
Clay looked half dead.
And Jimmy Smits' character is well beat.

Well yeah. The whole ambiguity of karmic blame is part and parcel of this kind of Shakespearean geriatric cycle drama. The more bad shiat they all do the worse it all gets for them.
I predict a bloodbath, no matter what. They all must die, one way or another.

Last night was very, very epic...

Great episode, almost like a horror movie at times...a dismembered body, a gunshot point blank into someone's head...and then the gut wrenching Tig scene.

Awesome, beyond awesome.

I haven't gotten past the 1st episode into the 4th season yet, so I'm a season behind. The whole Irish kidnapped baby storyline was incredibly full-on retarted.

and corrupt dumbass US marshal wasn't that great plotwise either.

/is watching the 4th season worthwhile, or has the show gotten permanently stupid?

Funny thing is Clay killed Piney and now he is the one walking around with an oxygen tank barely able to walk. And he could be president anymore because he was struggling with his bike. Maybe he should buy Pineys old tryc, since Opie put it up for sale.

That's got shadings of McBeth's He's absorbing the traits of all the things he loathes, hates, and fears. I would expect Clay to become even more monstrous, both in the figurative and the literal. Jax will have to kill him, too, in the Hamlet way. Jax's dad was king and Clay killed him, so Jax will have to kill Clay. Everything Jax values will be lost in the process.

/Remember, the tragedies end with death and the comedies end with marriage.

How am I supposed to feel sorry for Tig, really? That guy is a cold blooded killer. He gunned down Opie's wife in cold blood thinking it was Opie because Clay thought Opie was giving info to the feds.

He ran down and killed this guy's daughter because, once again, Clay told him to.

I like the show, but not all the characters are good people, if any.

Maybe if Tig would be more than a Clay bit*h boy, he would be better off.

They're considering a spin-off series. I feel bad for whoever is capable of looking the part of "a young Ron Pearlman".

I already felt bad for the poor bastard that had to photoshop a young Ron Perlman into that picture with a young Tig. Straight uncanny valley lookin at that.

That's the thing. Having seen last night's episode and not having seen season four (THANKS, NETFLIX BIATCHES!), I'm lost. And not having seen how all this nonsense got hooked up, CIA, cartell, frigging Marlow Stanfield wannabes, etc., I might be a lost cause for interest.
Season four must have blown things all up to have them come down looking like this.
It's a Shakespearean biker opera.

I thought it jumped the shark at the end of season 3. Or was it two.

The show is laughable

Is this the thread where I put on the leather vest I bought at the Army Surplus Store, act like I'm an MC expert/member cuz I rode a motorcycle once or twice and complain about how unrealistic this show is?

CSB-ish:
Had a friend whose older brother ran with a lot of real biker types (Outlaws mostly, a few Hell's Angels). They could be fun to party with, in a "standing too close to the tiger's cage" sorta way.The SoA guys are just sorta hyped up versions of a lot of the guys I saw back in those days.

//Love the subtle FU Tara gave Gemma at the end of last season's finale

I don't like that Jax is starting to look like he's gonna roll (again). He better have something clever up his sleeve (again) because right now it looks like he's gonna give up the Irish which are also S.O.A.

I also don't believe that Opie would let Clay live, no matter who asked him to.. I just don't buy it.

Dear Writers: Do Not make me hate Gemma. You gots me all confused now :(

You don't "run" with Outlaws *and* HA. It would be one or the other, unless by running, you mean sitting in the same bar.

Yea, sorry about that. They tended to hang out/crash/party at friend's brother's house. I remember these guys scared the ever-loving shiat outta me but there was one guy. "Uncle Bob", who scared them almost as much. Things tended to get quieter and calmer when he was around.
