1: Please do not dub shiate music over your silent video. If you feel like a real director, do your own narration.

2: It took me a moment to realize that this happened in the UK, and as such none of the scumbags were going to get blown away. Pity.

3: The guy who keeps getting slammed off of his scooter is classic.

The "gang" were probably some ponces from Selsdon lol

They want information about the culprits, did they not catch the plate from that scooter?

Exactly. The moped riders were probably teenage chancers, hoping their 'intimidating' appearance and sheer numbers would be enough to be able to just walk away with a bike or two.

Sorry, Nickleback is the most appropriate music for a fail video.

If the guy at the end could have shoved the metal bar into the front wheel of that scooter it would have been epic.

3 of the 4 bikes I've owned have had lockable steering.... does that not happen anymore?

//damn women

Mr. Cat Poop: If the guy at the end could have shoved the metal bar into the front wheel of that scooter it would have been epic.

And he's the guy that gets the most abuse. Lesson: Don't own a moped. You'll be the first and only target.

they need to learn to facemask a fool wearing a helmet. Drag 'em around by it, kick 'em a few times while they are down. Get the biggest guy around to sit on them and then phone the police. Might want to get the big guy to bounce up and down a few times on their ribs just to keep the compliant.

2012-09-12 05:21:33 PM
Why didn't they just take any of the bikes parked on the sidewalk?

amindtat: Why didn't they just take any of the bikes parked on the sidewalk?

Because the bikes parked outside are usually the cheapest secondhand rubbish they have in stock.

That place is down the road from me.

/Disappointed that there was no violence involved.

Yeah. The only Ducati shop I know of is in Watkinsville, GA, and I'm pretty sure these guys would have been shot. If not at the theft then when they came with the hammers and bars and such.

2012-09-12 06:40:36 PM
I have no idea why they didn't grab them, especially the little guy who gets pushed off his scooter twice.

2012-09-12 07:00:17 PM
whats up with that dumbass on the scooter? Pulls up, sits on the scooter for a while, gets off and kinda halfheartedly tugs on the bike once or twice, then goes over and sits on the scooter and waits as guys walk up and shove him off. Then gets on and does it again.

2012-09-12 07:20:37 PM
That ended well enough. I was expecting a serious beatdown, subby.

I could watch Mr. Safety Vest getting shoved off his gay little scooter all damn day long. And that half-hearted brandishing of the hammer....farking classic.

2012-09-12 11:00:00 PM
I would have more than pushed that guy off his scooter, I would have grabbed that thing and started dragging it down the street until the whole side was scratched down to the bare metal, then hopped and ride it to the nearest hill and let it freewheel into a wall.

Why the hell would you put up resistance unless your business wasn't insured against that kind of loss? It's not worth getting a pipe through your skull just to defend the inventory. Just let the guys ride off and call your insurance company.

Because their English and have not been neutered by the legal caste yet. They actually man-up and fight.

I have tremendous respect for Ducati motorcycles, so much that it saddens me to think someone would dare touch one they don't own. Shame on them.

At least one lesson learned:
Sitting on a stationary bike makes you very, very vulnerable and you are less mobile than you think.

I initially read that as "Compton"?

[My Brain] Boy, that seems like a dangerous place to rob a business owner.

[My Brain] A Ducati dealership? In Compton?!

I dug the guy in the white shirt, but what's with loading up on the metal bars and not actually hitting someone with it? Seems like you're pretty much pot committed at that point.

I guess my post didn't go through but this is pretty much what I said. When fighting someone who is wearing a helmet, grab the front part that covers their mouth and yank. The body goes where the head goes. Just like when riding.

One thing I'm confused about from watching the video is the getaway plan. I'm assuming the bikes on display do not have the keys in them, right? So how are these people going to take off with them? Are they that easy to hotwire? If not, then are they just going to push them to their hideout (seems like they all rode in on bikes or scooters, so no flatbed truck to transport the bike, etc.)?

Was trying to figure this out myself. Unless this dealership was so dumb to keep the keys in the bike for test drives. Ducati's are a biatch to hotwire. You would have to tear away the plastic and cross the wires before you could get it running.
Though if you can access the plug you could create a hotwire clip, but the plugs are hard to get to.

Maybe there was a flatbed/truck out of camera that kept a low profile.

under a mountain: Isn't it against the law in Great Britain to fight back?

It's only against the law to use excessive force. People in Britain who have legally owned guns have used them to shoot home invaders. Sure they get arrested since the police have to investigate but once its confirmed that you weren't shooting at them as they were fleeing they let you go.

The big no no is harming people when your life isn't in danger. There was a recent case where a gang broke into a family home held the family hostage while they ransacked the place. After the crooks left, the family got a large group of adults to chase them down. One of the crooks was beaten so hard with a cricket bat he ended up brain damaged.

They went to jail

It looked like a bicycle rider that rode through at the end might have been a part of the plan also. Maybe one of the guys would have radioed a tow truck or something to haul them off...

/we had a couple or a few guys loading up our snowmobiles one night during a little party. Some of our employees were coming into the party and thought that it was legit and actually helped them load up.
//not a dealer, just a fleet
///ski-doo had the vin numbers, they were reported stolen and all that, but we never saw the machines again
