$12 Billion dollars

Twelve billion dollars dollars? That's some redundant money.

It's actually twelve billion dollars squared. Imagine a square that's a little less than $110,000 on a side...

If Zuckerberg was half as smart as he thinks he is, Mark should cash out FB while it's still worth something. Considering what a stubborn twat he is, he'd rather go down with his ship.

Fark Zuckerberg.

I can't wait for Facebook to become the next Myspace.

Remember back in the 1970s when Gary Dahl made a fortune selling pet rocks then lost his fortune doubling down trying to sell accessories for pet rocks? No? Anyone?

How about GeoCities? Is this thing turned on? MySpace? Anybody? Anybody remember who founded MySpace?

Facebook will be easily shot from the saddle.

You can't look at FBs traffic and demographics and seriously compare it to MySpace.

MySpace never had a fraction of the market penetration that Facebook has. MySpace was a "success" because they got a bunch of celebrities to put up pages that were just crappy ads that no one cared about. The social networking aspect of it never really flew. Facebook, on the other hand, got your little brother, your aunt and uncle, your mom, your grandma, and all your dipshiat "friends" in high school, who don't know dick about tech, to sign up, and they farking love it and click into it obsessively.

If it were just a matter of waiting for the next, better platform, don't you think that there would have been a mass migration to G+?

It's the internet, so any prediction longer than five years out is nothing but science fiction, but until I see some evidence that someone has come up with a legitimate Facebook killer, I'm betting on it persisting. In the meantime, it's stupid to think that something is going to die just because you, personally, are too damned cool to use it.

Even if EVERYONE IN THE WORLD left Facebook for Google+ (or something else) tomorrow - it wouldn't really 'Fark Zuckerberg'. He'd still be rich beyond the wildest dreams of mere mortals. He would be able to start any new company that did anything he wanted; and really, his name alone (along with his money) would be enough to make it media worthy. He could walk into the upper, upper level management of endless companies based on his work experience.

Even if he lost ALL OF HIS MONEY - he's still a guy who got into Harvard.

I think he's got very little to worry about.

Newton wasn't a wizard who declared gravity to exist. He was just a guy who (correctly) stated his observations of natural phenomenon. liverpoolumd doesn't need to be given authority to declare something - if it happens to be true - he's still right.

Facebook isn't going away any time soon, Zuck might just be a little smarter than you give him credit for.

All it's going to take is one serious security breach where all that information about all the end users gets compromised, and Facebook will be toxic.

What information do people have on Facebook that isn't already available on the internet? Once you have somebody's name, you can learn pretty much anything about them without going to Facebook.

Money and Education are second to the character he chooses to envision for himself as a man. He is someone who continues to sell out on the privacy of millions for his own profit. He is not a success, he is a failure of tremendous magnitude. A true symbol to what's wrong with America and the world today.

Boo. farking. Hoo.

People hate CEOs who can't convince investors to drive their company's stock through the ionosphere. That's just sort of the way it is. Only a few companies get that deal.

All of the people who matter are rich. Others get nothing. Sorry.

Why do you bother posting if you have absolutely no clue what you are talking about?

I mean, I do it sometimes, but drugs and/or alcohol are always involved.

2000: "Friendster is so awesome! Everybody is on it!

2005: "MySpace is so awesome! Everybody is on it!"

2010: "Facebook is so awesome! Everybody is on it!"

2015: "________ is so awesome! Everybody is on it!"

You can make billions on the internet one day, and lose it all tomorrow. Just ask the guys who made Napster or Pets.com

There's a very vocal portion of Facebook users who will scream about any update at all. But they're not leaving for MySpace or Google+.
