Mr. Wizard taught me how to make smoke rings using a cardboard box in the '80s.

kids would get a kick out of that.... but that is a pretty high end version of that experiment, need a new garbage can and a shower curtain a nylon strap and a smoke machine and a tool to cut the bottom out of the can.

You don't need a smoke machine, vaporized Chloroform works REALLY well too.

At work. No headphones. Did he say what the smoke was made out of? (other than "smoke"). More importantly, where do I get some? I can get a garbage can, plastic wrap, etc. at any generic "-mart"

Did this in an auditorium at the Ontario Science Centre in the early 80's. Could shoot a ring to the back of the room which always impressed. I am old.

I think I was there. There's also a photo of my five year old self in the Toronto Star (in '78) touching the Van De Graaff generator and you could see my undies.

Yep, when I did the Van De Graaff show gum had to come out, long earrings were fun, and the skirts........oh yes, the skirts This is me doing the cryogenics show (National Geographic Traveler) Link

Hallowe'en is coming, you'll be able to buy one at Wal-Mart.
