IronTom: QT_3.14159: crypticsatellite: Welcome, cutie pi.

*waves*

And that's why I hang out in the Geek tab, folks.

Even if I have NO idea what the hell you guys are talking about most of the time.

This is the goal, to explorer the unknown, to go places that nobody knows what they are talking about, and just sort of guess.

IronTom: but 1+1 = 2

If anyone wants a cure for insomnia, the proof that 1+1=2 in the Principia Mathematica will do it. It's only 100 something pages long. And just a small part of the total work.

The symbol for one looks like a penis. They tell you not to put that little serif on it on the top, but really, it could be an l or an I if you didn't put the little serif on the top of the 1. Maybe it is supposed to look like an index finger, but the index finger does not have a serif on it.

I have a feeling I'd do better following the discussion if my TV were on... but once the toddlers go to bed, the TV goes off most nights.

Not really, actually.

Just spout off non sequitors and you'll be fine. I think that's what we all do...most of the time.

If you dip the pacifiers in bourbon, you might be able to turn the TV back on...

those are some good zombies, but it is hard to imagine such civilized zombies. Plus they look like they are more than zombies, they have odd deformities to them. Have not seen the zombie through-the-lookingglass movie though, so these may be well in keeping, and explainable from that.

That was the point--zombie virus hits Wonderland.

Maybe there is a new show we can tape for Tuesdays.

Tommorow there is: Scanning the Skie: the Discovery Telescope. We could tape this for next week.

There are some Wonders of the Solar System that day too, like they are deliberately trying to turn Wednesday into Tuesday.

Comments Hi, we've been gathering across the nation every Tuesday to watch the Science Channel and comment on it, online, for the past 6 years, ever since you played your updated Cosmos series. We still meet every Tuesday, 9-12 p.m. EST, and hope for space-science related programming, but that seems to have gone to other days. Could you please return space-science related programming to Tuesday nights? Thanks.
Yes, I'd like to receive occasional emails from Discovery and its affiliates about new features, special discounts, valuable promotions, etc.

Maybe they'll see that this message came in after their latest Tuesday programming.

BTW, the more customer input they get, the better the chances.

I've only ever seen humming birds one at a time.

It's crazy how many there are. I took quite a few photos today through the window but I only resized the two. The feeder was down to about half an inch of fluid in it by the time it got dark.

I only heard a hummingbird once, at a motel in San Diego. I must have walked past its bush and it sounded a bit like a bee. Since then I had to attract them, and put in all kinds of hummingbird-attracting plants and one day, there the were. Two of them, but they would always fly off before you could get close enough to hear them.

There was a recent video that showed some lady feeding them out of her hand. Hummingbirds rule.

Hi! Looking forward to drinking and snarking at science shows with you :)

How about we tape:

Scanning the Skies: the Discovery Telescope, tonight at 10 p.m. EST on the Science Channel. If there are any others you want, could post them. Cryptic is on board with taping that. If anybody else sees it that would be great too!
