"Unemployment rate for government workers" has gone up under Obama. You would think Fox News would like that.

farking shameless liars. this is becoming obscene.

the funny thing is, nobody who watches fox news will vote for obama anyway, so the only thing they're doing is lying to their own audience.

Right. So if they're going to lie, why stop at U6 or 14%? Why not just say 22% unemployment under Obama?

They ahve already repeatedly demonstrated that their audience can't tell the difference....

Now, when they say the unemployment rate for government workers is 5.1%, they mean ONLY federal government, right?

How can a Government employee be unemployed? Those aren't real jobs, after all.

You didn't get the new labor economics textbook for dummies? I thought I gave that to you for TFSS.

It's a whole new view of math and numbers and definitions.

It's kind of like when a human handles a baby bird, the mother won't take it back, except in this case the human is the government and the bird's mother is private industry.

The real crime of shameless lying like this is that it makes the job that much harder for the thousands of White Knights out there.

Yah well they did go to the supreme court to assert their right to knowingly lie to their viewers (and won) so what do you expect?

Well, it's like saying Latino unemployment is 12%. I mean, how can someone be employed and be Latino?

Yeah. Goebbles' opinions were totally wrong. But we must respect both sides and such.

In a thread about misleading people, you should get your basic facts right:

An appeal was filed, and a ruling in February 2003 came down in favor of WTVT, who successfully argued that the FCC policy against falsification was not a "law, rule, or regulation", and so the whistle-blower law did not qualify as the required "law, rule, or regulation" under section 448.102 of the Florida Statutes.[8] ... Because the FCC's news distortion policy is not a "law, rule, or regulation" under section 448.102 of the Florida Statutes,[8] Akre has failed to state a claim under the whistle-blower's statute."[6] The appeal did not address any falsification claims, noting that "as a threshold matter ... Akre failed to state a claim under the whistle-blower's statute," but noted that the lower court ruled against all of Wilson's charges and all of Akre's claims with the exception of the whistleblower claim that was overturned.[6]

Especially when U6 is 15.1%. Maybe they thought that was their out?

"15.1%... We only said it was 14!!!"

At least they had footnotes, unlike fox.

Also, can we vote this green. The Republican war on facts can't be understated.
