Mr. Coffee Nerves: Dammit, I just know I'm going to get confused later and masturbate to the rich, lush twin towers and swear to never forget Jenner's rack

I LOL'd. Couldn't help it.

2012-09-11 06:11:40 PM

ThatGuyGreg: During that moment of silence, hope you also remembered the Maine. Also, the Alamo.

And the third of September.

('Cause that was the day that my daddy died)

What really happened was, TODAY couldn't book Honey Boo Boo in time to bump the Kardashian.

/ They are fully aware of their audience demographic.
// Suck it, Lauer.

Mytch: Being patriotic is like being religious. If you want to be, that's great. If you go around trying to shame other people for not being as patriotic as you, then you're an arsehole.

Shut up, you commie-hippie!

I am thoroughly outraged!

2012-09-11 06:13:29 PM
Can we please stop the tearing of hair, the beating of breasts and the wailing every anniversary of the September 11 attacks?

Memorials and rememberances are one thing, but this country is way past that.

Stop wallowing, America. It's pathetic.

Well, in all honesty on 9/11 over 3,000 people did go titsup, so it was appropriate.

2012-09-11 06:16:23 PM
How can Americans say they respect those they lost? They won't even charge those responsible.

2012-09-11 06:16:31 PM
They kept it up for a decade. It's ok to be done with it.

A nice list of everything else we've moved on from.

Remembah the Great Texas School Explosion of '37!

SilentStrider: A second plane has just hit the South Boob!

I knew there was a reason why I favorited you.

I have no idea who that person is, but NBC just got a bump up in my book. Something about people pretending to care because they are expected to just rubs me the wrong way.

das: FlashHarry: fox was actually silent? i'll bet they still had a crawl that read, "some say obama bathes in the blood of infants."

Well, he does, doesn't he????

Don't be silly, he has Michelle whip it into a smoothie. You know infant blood, fresh mangos, pineapple and freshly harvested glacial ice. Served on a parchment doily cut from the first amendment.

downstairs: Meh.  While I don't care about Kris Jenner at all, these "required" tributes are getting a little out of hand.

9/11 coverage is like a politician's flag lapel pin. They really don't need to tell us which side they're on, but they do anyway to avoid the derpfest.

2012-09-11 06:21:46 PM

FlashHarry: fox was actually silent? i'll bet they still had a crawl that read, "some say obama bathes in the blood of infants."

Yeah, but what they don't tell you is that you need a leave in conditioner when bathing in the blood of infants.

2012-09-11 06:22:15 PM

Gig103: Good for NBC. A moment of silence is enough to get people to flip channels. If they land on NBC before they get to the cable networks, they might stay.

Yeah, at first I thought. Good for them. They're over it.
Then I thought, Good for them, They're smart business people in a tough economy.

"Religion is like a penis. It's fine to have one and it's fine to be proud of it, but please don't whip it out in public and start waving it around... and PLEASE don't try to shove it down my child's throat."

They just know that 9/11 is old news.

The boob job is what's happening now.

You'll get over it.

Let see how many networks go silent at 12:48pm on Dec 7.

The Quaalude Renaissance: NBC should have prefaced it by having Ann Curry try to parallel park.

I bet she enjoyed the shiat out of today's Today.

If you think a moment of silence was warranted, there's an easy method: turn off the television.

2012-09-11 06:26:10 PM
Instead of cowering in fear why don't we remember 9/11 for what it was. A false flag. Why don't we honor the murdered by prosecuting the perpetrators.

2012-09-11 06:26:21 PM

downstairs: Meh.  While I don't care about Kris Jenner at all, these "required" tributes are getting a little out of hand.  And while I didn't watch NBC today (and never watch morning shows)... I'm pretty damn sure they mentioned 9/11 many other times.

This right here.

I listened to a California radio station earlier and they pointed it out, too, as in "wow, how dare they disrespect the victims!?"
I'm guessing people are also keeping score which one of their facebookies shares a picture of the Trade Center or the Stars and Stripes, and which ones are not, you know, so they can identify those who do not love our country.Because that's how you know who is a true American. Just like the magnetic yellow ribbons show who really supports the troops.

2012-09-11 06:26:51 PM

downstairs: Anyway, none of the tributes beat this:

/remember the Lusitania!

Aww, how sweet of you! How'd you know my birthday's tomorrow? Was it all those eagles crying "Never forget!" on September 11?

/I've stopped telling people my birthday is September 12th. Now I just say (in all mock seriousness), "It's the day after 9/11." I always get a reaction, ala "OMG... the most tragic day in history! You poor thing!"
//Sadly, the reaction has never been: "Grrl, let me buy you a nice beer!"

2012-09-11 06:27:07 PM
Well, let's be honest, some people watching TV hate America. Many others only care what Snooki is doing today. Why can't NBC cater to the unpatriotic and vapid people?

DanZero: the momager's breast augmentation surgery.

Is this another 21st century media buzzword I'm not aware of?

Just a silly portmanteau that indicates she makes her money by "managing" her kids' "careers", which started by her selling out Kim to Vivid.

Oh, that we were all so maternally fortunate...

All I want to know is whether Rudy Giuliani saw his shadow today. Do we get four more weeks of summer or not?

And that with a single glance he can make you a socialist.

All we know is, he's called The Prez!

i live in nyc then and 9/11 devastated me. shrines everywhere, missing persons posters, open weeping on the streets, a massive funeral pyre burning for months...

strangely i moved on without any kind need for a ritualistic moment of silence prompted from the boob tube.

what are people thinking about during this? i bet lunch makes an appearance.

i have no soul i guess. but i can still tear up a dance floor.

Mugato: I'm against breast implants slightly more than I'm against the attacks on 9/11.

I am against using 9/11, Bin Laden, natural disasters, the troops, children etc. for ratings or political points. When was the last time we had a moment of silence for Pearl Harbor, Wake Island, Bataan Death March, Galveston Hurricane 1900, Texas City Esplosion 1947, Katrina , OKC, the USS Cole, African Embassies, Fort Hood, Beruit Airport 83 etc.

As to implants it depends on the end result.

Who or what is a Kris Jenner?

Maybe the taliban needs to crash a plane in to their headquarters.
But, being anti-American is what the enemies want.
F*CK YOU NBC!

Popcorn Johnny: Lando Lincoln: OMG WHY DO NO TV NETWORKS GIVE A MOMENT OF SILENCE EVERY DECEMBER 7TH AT 7:53AM HDT?

Because the Germans are our buddies and we've forgiven them for the whole bombing Pearl Harbor thing.

The Germans?
