I'm against breast implants slightly more than I'm against the attacks on 9/11.

2012-09-11 03:48:33 PM
Meh.  While I don't care about Kris Jenner at all, these "required" tributes are getting a little out of hand.  And while I didn't watch NBC today (and never watch morning shows)... I'm pretty damn sure they mentioned 9/11 many other times.

During that moment of silence, hope you also remembered the Maine. Also, the Alamo.

Good for NBC. A moment of silence is enough to get people to flip channels. If they land on NBC before they get to the cable networks, they might stay.

Except it was Kris Jenner. I would rather have every station silent than actually listen to her or make her think she's important in any way.

Yeah, but CNN also had Rudy Giuliani talking about how Islamic terrorist are trying to attack us today the same way they did in 1993 and 2001.

So, given that, I'd rather hear about boobs.

Yeah, that guy is a well known Hollywood stuntman. Lots of credits, including a lot of work on Star Trek.

can't say i care one way or the other. if they didn't want to be on the same page as all the other media sources and show something that is vaguely entertaining (akin to a train wreck), then let them show the b00bies grow

This. They used to show the reading of the names and people were outraged when certain networks didn't show that or they stopped doing it. A year or two from now, no one will stop their TV programming for a moment of silence and no one will think anything of it. Part of healing is moving on.

Because the Germans are our buddies and we've forgiven them for the whole bombing Pearl Harbor thing.

You people who are so cheap with your respect.

I had an HOUR of Silence in honor of 9/11.

If anyone's doing a Day of Silence, I don't wanna hear about it. That's too much. Well, I guess I'm not gonna "hear" about it today, am I?

I think some people actually like tragedy as long as they're the ones observing as opposed to living it. I'm not saying they're callous. I just think they like the excitement of being involved in something bigger than themselves.

"The Today show dedicated a considerable amount of time to September 11th coverage this morning throughout the entire show," said spokesman Megan Kopf.

Her middle name must be Scheiße.

They managed to get in their digs. And by "digs" I mean "lies".

http://mediamatters.org/blog/2012/09/11/fox-omits-the-facts-to-politi c ize-9-11/189827

Fox & Friends co-host Gretchen Carlson claimed that Obama has "called for a moment of silence, but has not called for the word God. So some people are asking, why is God being left out again?" Later, her colleague Steve Doocy said: "On this most somber of days, get this. Does the President of the United States call on people to pray for those lives lost? No."

Fox was referring to a presidential proclamation declaring September 11, 2012, to be Patriots Day. But the reality is that President Obama followed the example of President George W. Bush who did not include the word God in his 2006, 2007, and 2008 Patriot Day proclamations.

Furthermore, Obama called on "God's grace" and asked people to pray for the lives lost in a separate official proclamation declaring the days between September 7 and September 9 as national days of prayer and remembrance in commemoration of the September 11 terrorist attacks

Can't link it for some reason.

Being patriotic is like being religious. If you want to be, that's great. If you go around trying to shame other people for not being as patriotic as you, then you're an arsehole.

2012-09-11 06:07:31 PM
Good. 9/11 was a false flag operation and we shouldn't entertain it a single moment longer.

So derivative of David Chase. NBC should have prefaced it by having Ann Curry try to parallel park.

2012-09-11 06:08:51 PM
Meh. I could go either way on this one. NBC is sure to catch some shiat for doing that, and in all honesty, I think a show of respect for those who lost their lives on 9/11/01 is just a tad more important than Kris Jenner's boob job. On the other hand, when does it all become too much? There are plenty of website tributes, memorial services, flags at half-staff, and many more things happen to commemorate and reflect on the tragedy of 9/11. Is one television network deciding to just "get on with it" that much cause for alarm and ill will?

2012-09-11 06:09:17 PM
So tune into one of the other dozen networks that are airing it.

For the record I don't advocate watch Kris Jenner regardless of what is on any other channel, but we don't all need to relive 9/11 minute by minute each and every year.

I would have had the TSA agent feeling up a small boy. The invasive searches where they actually massage your balls and then stick their hands inside your clothing are done by agents of the same sex.
