Went to Costa Rica in may and there was one of these migrations going on with Halloween Crabs. They were everywhere.. Trying to get into our hotel room, popping up behind us on our chairs while we had dinner, crunching as the golf cart drove us up to the restaurant. Pretty funny.. except for the crunch part.

Nope not at all.. They have giant lizards that pretty much cleaned up by the morning and monkeys that would pick up fresh kills and eat them. It's was a pretty interesting place to spend a week.

Odd to see that much seafood walking around with no predators taking advantage of the buffet.

There were some sea-birds fishing just off-shore. Seems like there was a much easier meal right there on the beach. Crab buffet!
