As soon as Romney releases his tax returns. Or when Larry Flint scores them with his million dollar offer.

Step 1.5, go to prison for 40 months.

Tax Boy: Step 1.5, go to prison for 40 months.

Going to prison (white collar crime prison mind you, not licking peanut butter and jelly from another guy's ass daily for your own protection prison) for a little over 3 years just to earn 100+ million dollars?

Where do I sign up?

Commit fraud for years, get caught, turn on your cohorts, get 31 months, then "home arrest", then $104 million.

Don't commit any crime, be tried and convicted for rape, spend 14 years in prison, finally be proven innocent after the prosecutor is discovered to have tainted the evidence, spend another 2 years in prison while the lawyers haggle over the paperwork, then get jack shiat for your time while you're trying to convince potential employers that your felony conviction was bogus and you've been cleared.

I'd sure like to see that list (55,000 people) and a break down of who's Republican and who's Democrat. But I doubt we'll get that information from the head tax cheater himself, Tim Geithner.

Dear IRS,

Exxon and GE cheat on their taxes. A lot more companies do too, but the billions you're going to send me in reward money for these two is good enough. Please hurry with my check, Mt. Dew and Cheetos are on sale this week and I would like to stock up.

Thanks,
Eventhelosers

Initially I was upset that a thief like that would make $100 million. Then I read that it garnered the US nearly $6 billion in fine/tax revenue, so yeah, I'm okay with this.

Being a tax cheat is not party dependent. I'd say that the list probably skews Republican, but only because wealthy people overall tend to lean to the right. Greedy assholes come in all shapes, sizes and political affiliations.

just another example of the type of scum the banking industry seems to attract. Is there a day that passes when we do not hear of some sort of white collar crime committed by the banks and there executives.

Looking at this, this has all sorts of screwy going on. It appears he isn't immune to further legal prosecution, but the circumstances of all of this seems really suspect.

Yeah, the fact that DOJ suddenly reversed its position on his whistleblower status makes me wonder what other information he had on a few people (senators). If he had come forward right away instead of waiting two years, it wouldn't have been an issue. I wonder if his lawyer advised him to sit tight until the whistleblower protection and compensation was passed before moving forward. Coming forward years after the fact should, at most, result in a reduction in sentence, not a reward. If I take part in some huge art theft and then later come forward and rat out my colleagues, should I get a cut of the reward money?

This guy took the fall for his former cohorts, and no one was worried he'd turn around and screw them?

It sounds like he was quite the operator when he was working with UBS, so he probably does have all kinds of interesting information on powerful people. When you need a fallguy, pick the idiot brocephus, not one of your dealmakers.
