A Mormon running for President is bankrolled by a Jew who got his billions from Asian gamblers.

Only in America.

Provide a tax windfall of an estimated $1.2 billion to Adelson's company, Las Vegas Sands Corp.,

This has always been what he wants since the beginning. He needs a tax holiday to repatriate his money from Macau tax free, and Romney would give it to him. Bush did one as well. Obama's not playing ball.

I'm sure there will be plenty of charities ready to jump in and pick up the slack of making your life worse should funding be cut.

Not to count my chickens yada yada yada, after the election, I want to crowdfund a billboard in Las Vegas that says "Sheldon Adelson spent millions to defeat Barack Obama and all he got was this stupid billboard." Does anyone know how to get this together?

No, Adelson wants the Federal investigations into his illegal business deals to be stopped. Which is the sole reason he is dumping money into the campaign.

He'll probably use that money to build a huge casino resort and employ thousands of hard-working, taxpaying people.

In Spain.

Cataholic: InfamousG: killershark: Listen, Adelson is a jerk, but that headline seems to be misleading. It sounds like a good chunk of that $2 billion -- $1.2 billion according to the article -- would be his company's untaxed profits and not cash actually going into his pockets. Am I missing something?

Still doesn't change the fact that it makes me sick to know people like can buy an election. These Super PACs are getting ridiculous.

Do you really think that $1.2 billion his company would save would be for the betterment of the lesser within the empire? With $1.2billion, he could hire 24,000 people with $50k jobs (or pay his current staff a lot better). Most likely, the top 50% will go back to him, the next 35% will go to his executive staff. 10% will go towards the next election, and the remaining 5% will trickle down through the ranks to the working class getting the scraps.

So your alternative is to force him into keeping it overseas. The money's been earned over there and is sitting in a bank account (or some other investment). The US government is getting 0% of it. You'd rather have that 0% instead of only taking 15% or so? Would you rather have NOTHING just because it galls you so that a rich guy might get a slight break?

Lets be clear. Profits to the business are owned and controlled by the shareholders. He is the shareholders. He COULD hire 24,000 people. That's not the reality though. The reality is they take the money. Use the loopholes available to transfer the wealth from the company to the individual via things like retirement funds to pay a minmum amount of tax on it. Add on a simple business shelter and have the business pay for all personal expenses and you are literally deducting 100% of your life while paying the absolute minimum in taxes and accruing all the wealth.

That's the reality. And it needs to never, ever happen. (or stop happening)

Listen lib, the job creators are already hard at work creating jobs, so don't go around pretending that making money just for having money isn't hard work.

When Obama wins, he should thank @ssholes like Adelson and the Koch Bros for pumping so much money into the Obama Economic Recovery.

Also, gambling is against Rmoney's religion, but he'll take millions made from casinos? Awesome ethics, dude.

Sheldon Adelson would get more money in a day just from the tax cut than you will make in your entire life.

This is what you're voting for, Jim-Bob's of the world.
