I really want to see him battle the shark!

2012-09-11 08:21:45 AM
In fairness, he was being chased by a velociraptor at the time

2012-09-11 08:30:46 AM
The scene where he stops Picketts Charge by cutting off Robert E Lee's head with a samurai sword thus single-handedly winning the Civil War should be pretty epic.

2012-09-11 08:54:31 AM
I hope they include the scene where he steals the General Lee and then kidnaps the actual General Lee and spins donuts in front of the Confederate Capital in Richmond while hurling whiskey bottles at cats.

Does John Wilkes Booth assassinate Lincoln because Lincoln beat Booth to the Ark of the Covenant?

At first I questioned the casting of Dolph Lungren as General Grant but we will see how it works out...

"General Grant, how do you feel about the South?"

"If it dies, it dies."

I can't wait for the scene where Abe is just about to kill his son Issac, and then spins around and impales a zombie George Washington that was shambling silently behind him.

Then God tells Abe everything is cool and he can let Issac go. Then Abe says "I don't pussy out. " and cuts off Isacc's head then stabs God to death.

General Grant, the reb's have fortified all their lines around Petersburg all the way up to the James. What are you going to do?

I must break it...

What's up with his voice? I thought Lincoln had a high, nasally voice. He sounds like he's form South Carolina, not Illinois.

I'm a sucker for history and Lincoln radiates all that could be good about this country... To hear Daniel Day Lewis recite the Gettysburg Address has already given me a semi.

If only because of Daniel Day Lewis. The man is brilliant in everything.

I like the part where he's about to sign that document. The intense score and "will he or won't he" suspense is done perfectly.

He signs the document.

No, but he does shoot him in the back of the head with a walkie-talkie.

Here's another spoiler. When Abraham Lincoln is reading the Gettysburg Address, the camera will dolly in on the faces of awestruck members of the audience who are backlit by beams of light filtered through the windows behind them as the John Williams score swells.

The preview where Lincoln was drinking that kids milk shake on the Ferris wheel right before that Jap sub shot was pretty good.

No, he will sit in somebodies seat, and refuse to move to the back when they ask him to.

It's DDL. The guy is such a method actor that he probably sold his soul to go back in time for an hour with a voice recorder, then spent two years listening to nothing but that tape on repeat to get the voice right.

Yeah, that.

To answer the only question:DDL wasn't speaking in the trailer. Lincoln had a high pitched Kentucky hillbilly voice from all accounts.
