And just who was it that was elected because he seemed like he would be a great guy to have a beer with?

The evidence is actually pretty compelling in his favor.
Regardless of whether he's a nice guy or not.

He exemplifies the "fun guy at the party" stereotype. You know. You've been there. The fun guy is the one who cracks a few jokes, tells a dazzling story or two that captivates those around him...

THEN HE ROOFIES YOUR DRINK AND RAPES YOU!!!

So vote Republican.

I didn't think anyone at American Thinker went to parties. I thought their social get-togethers were known as rallies.

Good. This story is a victory for anyone that isn't a right-wing ass. This story is practically an acknowledgement that Obama is going to win because of "stupid deluded libs".

"Stupid deluded libs" now including anyone that doesn't want women rape-wanded, new conflicts started in the Middle East, and a return to Presidency dominated by Bush advisors on domestic and foreign policy.

Obama doesn't strike me as the party type. Perhaps he might come to a few and be a generally fun person to hang around with. But its not like he is going to throw a party every night, do coke in the bathroom, and then compete with his frat brothers to see who can fark the the biggest chick.

These American Thinker posts ought to just have their own tab on the main page. As long as Fark is going to republish the entire site, may as well do it right.

When politicians break all their campaign promises, I vote for the other side. When the new guy breaks all his promises, I vote for the other side. When the new, new guy from the old party breaks all his promises, I vote for the other side again. I will keep doing this over and over and over until I am too old to work, and I am told the money that both sides took from my paycheck in an "entitlement" if I want it back.

I would like to tell the bank that lent me money that it is an entitlement for me to pay it back. That bank needs to work harder and stop whining and get off bail out welfare.

Not just projecting their own faults they are also bizarrely trying to turn Obama's likability into a negative.

It's freaking hilarious. The guy goes full 'tard.

Because the fun guy at the party always has his hand teleprompter with him, presumably?

The problem that Romney is facing right now was described by Krugman today, and I agree with it. They need a massive warchest to have any hope of overcoming Obama, and they were getting that warchest (mostly from wall street) because it looked like he could win. Now that things aren't going his way the money boys are getting nervous and are going to start shifting funds to Obama to avoid backing the losing horse. You can see it already (this month Obama out-raised Romney). Romney will never lose the Addlesons and Kochs, but a lot of the money-boys on Wall Street are quants, and you can bet your ass they are reading Nate Silver's blog with great interest.

That is why you see all of the attacks the Republicans are mounting right now on pollsters. If they start to look like they are losing it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy, and it looks like they are losing.

Cinaed: The evidence is actually pretty compelling in his favor.

Actually not really. To the best of my knowledge there have been no military tribunals against military personnel nor has the Justice Department gone after the CIA for torturing prisoners. This means he either is 'okay' with torture or is willing to dismiss the rule of law when it's politically expedient. Further he has a hit list that contains American citizens, and twice already he has assassinated American citizens who were on his hit list. Again, something he has no Constitutional authority to do and even ignoring the law it's just a shiatty way to live when your ruler can kill people at will. It's part of the reason why we started this Constitutional Republic to begin with, to get away from that sort of thing.

I may like his health care policy, the ending of DADT, and probably a few other things that don't come to mind... but when he self declares he can assassinate anyone he wants in the world and is soft on torture.. he doesn't win any points on being "nice." At least, not to me.

FTFA: Recall Obama's tough talk on the Today show in February 2009 regarding the economy: "If I don't have this done in three years, then this is going to be a one-term proposition."

He appeared confident -- braggadocious, even. Of course, there was nothing in his past to give anyone any evidence that he could do this, but he sure sounded confident, and people just took him at his word like lemmings and nodded their heads in agreement.

Obama and his supporters were confident that he could turn the situation around because they hadn't anticipated that the coonts in the GOP would constantly put party before country and obstruct every single farking thing he tried to do, you stupid assholes.

Not so good. The word they're aiming at is braggadocian (from braggadocio).

And it's enunciation, not annunciations.

I'm not clicking on this link but I presume this is a continuation of a complete flip out based on the newest polls showing a 5 point lead for Obama. The American "Thinker" crowd has done nothing but watch Fox News for the last four years and become more and more outraged about every single thing Obama does, real or imagined. Everyone they know is just like them. They were sure it would be in the bag to elect someone else. Their minds simply cannot reconcile why the poll numbers show their guy losing and have to come up with more and more outrageous theories, because they're unable to conceive they've simply been watching shadows on the cave wall all this time.

I was at a party with Obama, having a few beers. He's telling stories and shiat. All of a sudden, this guy with a thing in his ear whispers something to Obama, and he put down a FULL BEER, made a face like "oh damn here comes some I-gotta-work bullshiat", and said "sorry guys, national security, gotta run", and then he fricking LEFT, man. Stone cold left the party. And you know we had tall boys, he must have sat down a full 15 ounces of beer and walked away. I mean, don't get me wrong, I drank it for him, but still, it's the principle of the thing. What a douche.

One time I asked Obama to dress up as Santa for a Christmas party I was having for my children. Anyway, Obama shows up as Santa, says "I've got goodies for you kids". He reaches into his bag and proceeds to hand out scrap metal and cigarettes to them. Then he takes off his beard and says "There's no Santa cause I ate him!"
