wildcardjack: I understand preserving diversity, and keeping animals with wide ranging habitats healthy by preserving habitats and populations.

But now they are preserving species that have evolved into dead ends. So specialized that a cave in could eliminate their habitat and them.


Yeah OK Darwin. Just because you feel a species is an evolutionary dead end doesn't make it so.
