Um, the poll did have a likely voter screen on it, and it showed Obama leading 52-46.

No matter the nomination, I don't think it would have mattered and that seems to be the consensus here at Camp North Star. It just doesn't matter.

What's really funny is that Obama hasn't even really started campaigning yet. He's letting Romney dig his own grave.

I expect some kind of "coup de grace" from Obams near the end of October, just to show Romney how much of a joke he is.

I'm not a Republican, but I like the occasional Grey Poupon. Gulden's spicy brown is my all purpose mustard of choice though. And go 50/50 with sriracha sauce and you are pretty much talking about a nigh unbeatable duo for burgers or brats. I find sriracha plus regular mustard to be the go to combo for regular hot dogs though. And just sriracha for chicken. You don't put mustard on chicken so don't even go there. I think it's time for dinner.

How does it go with fetuses? Also, can you tell me if the fetus was the proudct of a rape, does it have that incredibly rare taste?

I believe they call that "the Presidential Debates". Those are going to be fun nights, or at least one night. Romney will probably only be able to stomach one colossal drubbing.

The election is shaping up to be a choice between a conservative democrat and a toady to the batshiat insane. Wall St shouldn't give a crap about which one gets elected.

Romney and his SuperPac are just now starting their advertising blitz. It will be interesting to see what affect that amount of advertising will have on the public's voting come November. Not to mention, much of what we are seeing now is a post-convention bump. Even in a pre-Citizen's United year, most of that would have been expected to fade after a week or three.

2012-09-10 08:02:18 PM
on a sort of related note---why do they always report the popular vote? does it really matter if obama is up six points or down two points or what? the election is not decided by the popular vote, so why is that what they always report?

Agreed. Romney seems like a disaster. Fumbling, shallow, flip-flopping, vague. A Ryan looks like a huge negative, any way to look at it.

I suspect they'll just keep sinking, I mean what are the voters going to do now? Switch back to Romney?

Would a voter think this? "Well, actually that clueless rich guy who never makes up his mind sounds like a great idea!"

No way.

Fetuses are kinda spicy already so more spice might be overkill. The rape fetuses are best if they aren't rape rape ones. Those spoil because of the body expunging them from the body. Or is it from the anti-rape-baby hormones the fetus is basting in, I can't remember.

There used to be a brand out of Ohio called 'Stadium' that was pretty good. I agree on Guldens, although Beaver makes some really good stuff up here in the PacNW

It's a lot easier to get a significant sample of all Americans than it is to get individual significant samples in each state.

And the popular vote has predicted the electoral vote in, what, 55 of 57 presidential elections or something?

Because to reflect the state of the Electoral College, every Presidential poll would actually have to be comprised of 51 polls: one for every state, plus DC. To get your margin of error down to 3% or so, each of those polls has to have about 1000 respondents. The process becomes 51 times more expensive. This is just a nice shortcut.
