God will help her, if that is his will.

I've been saying this for a while. Also there has been a guy with the nice Norwegian (important in rural MN) name of Bob Anderson running as an independent the last 3 cycles. He reliably siphoned about 5-7% of the vote away from the Dems every time. He is not running this year. Bachmann has a real race against a well funded opponent on her hands for the pretty much the first time ever.

If you strike her down, she shall become more derpier than you could possibly imagine.

This is actually probably true, since Fox News would probably make her a contributer and her handlers would go from trying to make her likable to trying to make her marketable.

You misunderestimate the power of the derp side

2012-09-10 11:44:19 AM
She pulled a "Santorum". When you're a Congressman or Senator in a swing state you do not go public with your crazy notions of what is and isn't moral. Because there is a good chance you'll piss off more than 50% of the voters doing that.

Is her district like a village of simpletons or something?

2012-09-10 11:48:13 AM
If she goes down, I will have some serious withdrawal. I may have to enter rehab.

sweetmelissa31: Is her district like a village of simpletons or something?

No. Her Congressional staff before 2009 kept in most of the crazy. The famous image of her hiding behind the bushes was the last straw that caused her to lose the top quality staffers. She then hired her own wackos who agreed with every crazy idea she had.

I believe her district has the highest rate of teen suicide in the nation by a significant margin.

I think it's pretty heavy gerrymandered on the derp for that big of a lead among independents in Minnesota to not be enough to give a lead to the Democratic challenger.

Just imagine the hilarious conspiracy theories and accusations she'll throw out if she loses.

Just tossed $25 over to Graves and I'm in NJ! ANYTHING to get rid of that crazy, screeching harpy.

The Minnesota 6th is a hive of religious indoctrination, willful ignorance and abject hatred of anything they can't grasp with their battered little brains. There are some of America's most horrible bigots living in that district.

If God doesn't want her in Congress it is because he wants her to focus on her 2016 Presidential run.

This actually reminds me of one of those "if I were a billionaire" ideas I had.

I would love to rent out a storefront in Bachman's district and put up an awning on it that says "ACORN - Minnesota" and hire someone to just sit in there.

Meh. The poll is commissioned by Graves, her Democratic opponent. Even though the lead is small, she is still leading, after every stupid thing that's happened on her ill-thought-out primary campaign.

As much I'd like to see Bachmann go, I think that there's a good chance that Minnesota 6th is just dumb enough to vote her in again.

If she loses she and Marcus can have more sexytime together

2012-09-10 12:24:10 PM
Graves' campaign manager (and son) Adam Graves told Salon that the numbers show his candidate is well positioned to beat Bachmann.

And if things don't look promising, he'll break her left hand.

Can you imagine the wild conspiracy theories that will emerge once she is no longer required to run? Are we going to have another repeat of the Egyptian riots because she has the appearance of credibility?

I wouldn't have it be anybody you like or care about, because he/she will probably get firebombed. Do you have any annoying in-laws that need a job?

Christ, the MN CD-6. It's as if someone carved a god-forsaken piece out of West Texas and dropped it in the greater Minneapolis-St. Paul area. Only place in the metro where Confederate flags are prevalent.

This is a internal Democratic poll so don't get your hopes up, or do depending on how much you enjoy the entertainment factor. I don't mind her so much as I believe she does considerable harm to the Republican brand.

My mother lives in this district. She's a Hubert H. Humphrey democrat, and it absolutely kills her that she's "represented" by this ridiculous woman. I seriously think it is going to shorten her lifespan if she's re-elected.

Also, I know the Graves family personally - they are awesome awesome people. Jim is exactly the kind of guy who can win this area - a Democrat who knows business and jobs and can focus on that. He gets his name out there, people will vote for him, which is the actual interesting result of this polling.

So, get an awesome guy in office and help my mother live longer.

Give Jim Some Money

As the article notes, Bachmann has almost certainly done internal polls of her own, but they have not been released for public viewing. Why should she not want to do that?

Farking good, she is an embarrassment to Minnesota, Women, and frankly the human race.
