Just for the record here:

1) Slow Lorises are not monkeys.

2) They are not venomous. They are really more toxic than anything.

"They were found where?!"

From Wikipedia:

Brachial glands on the inside of the elbows of the slow loris secrete a brown exudate. This exudate is licked and becomes mixed with saliva. A protein in the secretion, which is similar to the allergen protein isolated from the domestic cat, may be introduced by the bites of slow lorises, resulting in anaphylaxis. Thus, it is questionable whether the slow loris should be considered truly venomous.

Take that, subby!

I've got a slender loris ... IN MY PANTS!

The Press Trust of India reported that one of the lorises was 7in (17.8cm) in length.

That's surely not a monkey in my pants my good friend.

Now I'm trying to remember that joke about the monkey trying to put the cork back in.

FTA: Three men have been arrested in Delhi for trying to board a flight with small primates hidden in their underwear.

From the Imagination of Brantgoose, the real story:

Three men have been arrested in Delhi for trying to board a flight with small Primates hidden in their underwear.

It is not known where they were taking the clerics, which included the Bishop of Eli (five ft. 4 in.), Bishop of Bishop of Kent (4 ft. 9 in.) and the Bishop of Wales (3 ft. 2.5 in.) but foul play is suspected. In other ecclesiastical news, a dead Bishop was found on the landing in a London apartment block where the most disgusting family in Britain (as seen in the popular reality show, Britain's Most Disgusting Family) lives ....

Well, not so much toxic as really, really biatchy and manic-depressive. Mind you, the real gossips of the primate world are the tarsiers, and you can't trust a gibbon as far as you can throw a gorilla. Silver-back gorillas may look butch but they are total sissies in the nest, and you can't beat a bush baby for doublecrossing and back-biting, but you'll very much want to, with a great big stick.

By the way, slow lorises prefer to be called "special" lorises and should not be confused with slow lorries, which are a problem in narrow country lanes.

Every three weeks my reading teacher makes us find current news articles online to give an oral report on. After this article, I think I might end up exempt from the assignment. Either that or I'll end up making my classmates Farkers.
