That headline was written by someone with no sense of irony.

2012-09-10 08:20:58 AM
If I may be so bold to speak up, if you must greenlight Town Hall links, can you admins please add some humor to the headline? That is what Fark is supposed to be, ya know. This isnt strange "not news" like a pilot crashing his plane while mooning another; this is just some petty bullshiat crying

Why is the National Geographic icon there instead of one for Townhall?

One still-great marker for "ignorable illiterate asswit" is if they write "Democrat party" instead of properly conjugating the word, Democratic.

Its a great marker for "Balls in need of a kick" as well.

I wonder how you say that in German.

no shiat.

there used to be a balance between the townhall, NRO, american thinker, WND, newsmax, blaze, caller, etc. links and ones from kos and tpm, but now it's pretty much just all-freeper all the time. i've been on fark for seven years - mainly because it was a balanced site (well, and teh boobies). but this really sucks.

Whenever I see someone use the term "Democrat party" or its equivalent, it's like a beacon demonstrating that whoever wrote or spoke that is simply not worth talking to because they are nothing more than a sluggish, little troll.

This is America, Subby. We speak English here.

I'll bet if the townhall and other butthurt articles sources didn't routinely get a lot of comments and page clicks from the people who stumble over themselves to say they're down voting, or not reading, or complaining, there'd probably be fewer of them.

I know boycotting tard threads isn't as sexy and trendy as boycotting mediocre chicken places, but it'd probably be more effective.

This is Fark. There is a long tradition of letting idiots be themselves. They are part of the community, and these articles give them a place to congregate. Plus, given Ignore, it is the perfect breeding ground for more subscriptions to TF for folks who either have too much cash or expense accounts to get out "the message." The half life for professional trolls is getting shorter, and to be fair, the Silly Season isn't a bad place to skim cash from the intellectually stunted. It's not nice, but Fark has rarely been accused of being overly sweet and cuddly...

Star. Honey. Darling. It's more bait for your candidate. And he swallowed it, hook and all, as usual. Your candidate and his spokespeople keep saying it's all about the economy. But instead Romney's out now screaming about he won't remove God from our currency (Jesus would be so proud of you all). And it's alienating the moderates and undecideds, which you desperately need, with roughly 50 days to go.

It's a good litmus test for the ignore list. As is the use of the number zero in place of the capital "O".

They're all teed up every morning green before anyone comments. Which is another interesting fact of the modern fark mod procedure. Because it did kind of used to be the rule that if something didn't catch on it would stay red lit. But that was before this neat invention called paid political green lights, or something.

Eh, I sometimes get it wrong accidentally (I have trouble with "Vote Democrat" vs "Vote Democratic"), but for the most part, yes.

I've been told by someone who does this that they like it because "it sticks it to the libs". It's like when a sports fan has a lame pet name for a rival like A&M saying "TU" instead of UT because they think it really sticks it to the Longhorns.

Meh.

This stupidity is going to haunt the GOP the way the acid dropping hippies singing kumbaya did the Democrats.

It reminds me of the idiot left wing students that thought that they were going to have a revolution, except with illiterate rednecks instead.

After reading the link below, I'm quite sure it's not the Democrat Party doing the panicking. Suck it, you lousy Tea Party hacks.

2012-09-10 11:10:16 AM
The rightwing seems to see a lot of panicking from the Democrats on a regular basis.

Which makes little sense as the Democrats are easily trouncing the GOP in the national election and what 'should' have been an easy push to a Senate majority is turning out to be anything but easy and may well end up with a Democratic lead after November.

Which would be horribly amusing.

It's less than two months until the election and Romney is still playing defense over his repeated gaffes with not a hint of effective offense within sight.

For a future reference, this is how you run a national election with a budget of hundreds of millions of dollars in soft money, ruthless political operatives, a mediocre economy and STILL MANAGE TO LOSE.

2012-09-10 11:10:43 AM
At least the democrats were honest enough to leave all the bullshiat about restoring civil liberties out of their platform this year, unlike 2008 when they put in a bunch of promises they had no intention of keeping. Though it's disheartening to know that neither of the two major parties is even willing to pay lip service to the civil libertarians out there.

They are not even rebuttals, responses, legitimate claims and/or statements anymore. They are lunatic wackos that are given a platform to speak from.

the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion

"Doorman"? Operative.
"Fry Cook"? Operative.

Since Fark now allows links from some mainstream Republican sites like Townhall, American Thinker, Breitbart, Free Republic, National Review Online, and Fox News, why don't the mods let us link to other mainstream Republican sites like Stormfront.org? Seems kind of, I don't know...arbitrary.

If the mods are going to promote some mainstream Republican sites, seems like they should promote all of them, including StormFront. After all, the Tea Partiers want to be heard, too. And with Obama likely to win in November, the Republicans will need as much publicity as they can get.
