(YouTube)   Like any incumbent with a 20-point lead, Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California does the right thing when asked a reporter's inappropriate question about actually having to debate her horrid Republican challenger - she walks out of the interview (video)   ( divider line

Dear Jerk: Seriously, why debate someone who has no chance of beating you?

To prove your mind is still agile after 42 years of smelling your own farts in Congress? To demostrate respect to your constituents, by debating the views of those who might not agree with everything you stand for?

Was she supposed suck his dick after the interview or something????

If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.

qorkfiend: LectertheChef: Gulper Eel: magusdevil: Incumbent Diane Feinstein walks out after interview wouldn't be a compelling headline, though, would it?

More like she wandered off.

But I know, I know, she's utterly essential because California is dreadfully short on statist liberals with piles of money.

She's no liberal, just a corrupt statist with piles of money, who abuses her office to do favors for other people with piles of money.

You seem very certain. Surely you have evidence of this corruption.

Prove she didn't, you know, like Beck can't prove he didn't rape/murder that kid in 1991.

LibertyHiller: qorkfiend: Gulper Eel: Mjeck: Thanks, but she's running her own campaign

And doing such a bang-up job of it that she hired a campaign manager who robbed her blind. Nothing like blowing off doing your due diligence.

qorkfiend: Surely you have evidence of this corruption.

The -CA after her name should suffice, as it does for -NY, -NJ, -MA, -IL, -FL, -LA and -TX.

So, no, you don't have any evidence of corruption.

Actual corruption, probably not. But he has a point.

DiFi swings a heavy stick in favor of the Central Valley industrial-agricultural complex when it comes to Federal water policy, without it being mentioned that her husband is heavily into agribusiness. It's more along the line of a conflict of interest that's pretty ordinary by most standards.

For one other example, here's that raving right wing nutcase Glenn Greenwald of Salon:

Low-levels leakers who disclose evidence of high-level wrongdoing are mercilessly punished by the Obama DOJ, while the high-level criminals they expose - and high-level leakers seeking to glorify the President - are aggressively shielded from all consequences. Meanwhile, leaks of classified information continue to be the prime currency for the same Washington media class that loves to heap scorn on people like Bradley Manning and Julian Assange. In sum, leaks of classified information are a heinous crime when done to embarrass or undermine those in power, but are noble and necessary when done to bolster them.

Nobody embodies this species of blatant corruption more purely than the senior Democratic Senator from California and Intelligence Committee Chairwoman, Dianne Feinstein, who also serves as the National Security State's most faithful servant (a National Security State which, just by the way, has greatly enriched her extremely rich military contractor husband, Richard Blum

It's okay when a Democrat does it.
