Jello Biafra was convinced she had a hand in murdering Harvey Milk. If you ever happen to hear his telling of that day's events. He got into it on his 1990 spoken word tour. I don't have a link.

An ABC affiliate misrepresents the context of their own interview to create controversy for a Democrat leading in the polls? DAMN the liberal media, always in the tank for Obama's goons.

Just a bit of context on that stations credibility as a news source...

This is the same affiliate that reported on the 2004 Spanish elections by saying that the voters had bowed to islamic terrorists by throwing out their existing government to appease them. Thanks to Fark it was clear that the voters had in fact thrown out their government for lying to them and trying to pin the train bombings on Basque separatists.

Awesomely yes. Former lead singer of the punk band the Dead Kennedys, and the guy in charge of Alternative Tentacles records. I disagree with him politically a lot, but he's a very bright and engaging guy - if a bit arrogant. I like to hear what he has to say, even if I rarely agree with him. He was in to the spoken word thing pretty early on. Very political dude.

Curious if you are a liar subby or just didn't bother watching the whole video. I could see either being true, he doesn't say I saved that question for last till the very end of the clip and they tried to make it appear she walked out...

2012-09-10 10:53:13 AM
Biafra ran against Feinstein for Mayor of SF, and ended up mowing her lawn at some point.

2012-09-10 10:53:21 AM
She handled that poorly. She could have just said something like, "We couldn't agree to any acceptable terms for a debate so unless that changes, there won't be a debate."

Then when he asks, "Shouldn't the voters hear what the candidates have to say?" or whatever... she could have responded with "I've been the Senator for my constituents for x-millionty years. They know who I am, and they know what I do for them in Warshington, and they know how I vote on issues. I believe I have a good relationship with the people in my state. If my opponent is having trouble getting their message across to the people, perhaps it's a message the people don't agree with."

And that's with putting about 15 seconds of thought into it.

Hard to blame her when she has zero chance of losing the election. She wins by 20% pretty much every time.

Yes, but then said ABC affiliate wouldn't have thousands of web hits by confused people trying to figure out what's going on.

\and as much as I think she's part of the problem, Feinstein has as much chance of getting voted out as I have of getting a porn-worthy threesome with Kari Byron and the new Wendy's spokeschick

Anyone who has been interviewed and is not currently sitting with an interviewer has "walked out after an interview". That wouldn't even rise to the level of "Dog Bites Man". It'd just be "Dog Exists".

DiFi will be Senator until she or God decides otherwise. The California GOP simply doesn't have anyone with enough experience or name recognition to challenge her or Boxer now that the Governator has gone back to movies.

The cost of running a statewide campaign in four of the country's largest television markets so exorbitant, that the state GOP, which is essentially broke, will hand the nomination for these lost causes to people who are willing to self-finance. That's why we've been getting harpies such as Whitman, Fiorina and now, Emken, who is C-list on her best day.

The GOP has lost the demographic battle in California, and with our new blanket primary system, they can't even get on the November ballot in some races. (Although that's also true for the Dems in a few districts, the GOP is being shut out in three House races for every one in which they're able to shut out the Democrats; the statewide total is 9-3 if my math is right.)

I don't know if the California GOP is doomed, but it's becoming less relevant with every election that passes.

Actual corruption, probably not. But he has a point.

DiFi swings a heavy stick in favor of the Central Valley industrial-agricultural complex when it comes to Federal water policy, without it being mentioned that her husband is heavily into agribusiness. It's more along the line of a conflict of interest that's pretty ordinary by most standards.
