Or?

2012-09-10 08:26:55 AM
This reminds me of when Obama said he would go into Pakistan and kill Osama.

McCain said he wouldn't do that, but he had a secret plan to get Osama that he wouldn't tell us until after he was elected.

History repeats itself again I supposed.

Yes, his plan was "Let's make the black guy do it."

I wish there was more enforced balance to the greenlights.... Having a day of 20 TPM links followed by 20 American Thinker links later on in the week is really grating. Couldn't the mods work out an "every other commie/fascist" system?

Lost Thought 00: Or?

Or what? They're just waiting for Kinkos to finish running off their order of three hundred million brochures on the new tax plan and don't want to spoil the surprise?

The Romney campaign has had little of substance to say about anything. No plan to "create jobs." No foreign policy. No plan to fix health care. Here's the secret: the empty chair that Clint was talking to? That's President Romney. No principles, just an empty shell for whatever interests paid the most to get him in the chair.

FTFA: "Well, the specifics are these which is those principles I described are the heart of my policy." ~ Mitt Romney

That is the most specific statement Romney has made about his tax plan.

I see TPM's check cleared... seriously, five before 9 AM? Save some for later guys.

2012-09-10 08:36:04 AM
And to think. I *like* TPM...

lay off the redbull before 10, guys. You get a little antsy in your pantsy. How are you going to bum-rush me from 11 to 1 if you blow your load before I even turn on my internets?

That because there ARE no loopholes to close -- at least not meaningful, revenue producing ones.

Now if you want to JUNK the current system and start over, yeah. But how will lobbyists for the status quo permit that?

Romney/Ryan 2012 - What's in the box?

On Sunday, Ryan said it's not a "secret plan" even as he declined to offer details.

I still can't believe we're supposed to see this guy as some kind of boy-genius. He's got nothing.

There is one obvious loophole to close - the one where you can shift income to capital gains and save millions in tax by doing so.

Gotta think the click-through rate keeps 'em coming, not to mention the ad views on comments pages.

Want to lower the rate of TPM and AT links? Don't click them, and don't come in to the derpstorm.

Pressed for one specific example, Romney replied, "Well, the specifics are these which is those principles I described are the heart of my policy."

Ugggggh.

I saw a quote this morning where he was asked if he'd end up raising taxes on the middle class: "That would be wrong!" LOL, that totally stopped him at Bain when he pumped companies full of debt to pay his bonuses and then fled before the roof collapsed!

That's not true: Romney has made it clear that he'd back Israel if they start a war with Iran and that he'll protect us from the Soviet Russian menace.

Has anyone mentioned the inordinate number of TPM links yet? I guess maybe the mods actually listened to Friday's survey and are responding by doing the exact wrong thing.

The problem is, Ryan's specifics run at odds with the campaign's position.

And if you want to point out that the campaign has no positions, well, you're forgetting that libs bad.

Obama and his plan were also bereft of details. Just magically a million manufacturing jobs.

The only time Obama has given specific plans it was voted down 99-0

AEI has already demonstrated which loopholes could be closed. But guess what, Romney would have to work with congress on final details. I kn ow this is a foreign concept to Obama and his super friends, but explicit details would be silly at this point.

Neither candidate has been specific at this point.

I tried to watch the Meet The Press interview with Romney, but couldn't stand it.

He can't answer simple questions about his "policies" and that damn liberal media won't farking call him on it.

They're not even lobbing softballs at this point, just tossing him pillow stuffing and giving him credit for not swallowing any of it.

Yes they have. And guess what? Closing those loopholes massively lowers taxes on the wealthy and raise them on everyone else.

They are using the technique pioneered by Scott Walker in Wisconsin. Worked for Walker. You simply promise anything, and the more outrageous the better. No need for any facts or to promise anything that is actually possible. Walker promised to create 250,000 jobs in Wisconsin. When the recall came around, and he had a net job loss thus far, he promised that the jobs would come as soon as he won the recall, they are just around the corner! Fools lapped it up while Wisconsin remains almost dead last in job creation. Just promise what they want to hear, they will vote for you. Lie as needed later, but really you don't have to worry about it. Now Romney is promising to create 200,000 jobs in Wisconsin, with no plan. Maybe he can piggyback off those Walkerjobstm.

Does anyone have a link to Obama's specific economic plan? I'm not being contrarian, but I don't know his specifics either.
