It's clearly a reference to the new iPhone coming out this week.

Zep really sucked live back in the 70's. They just phoned it in for most concerts and had a horrible sound systems. Their back up band "Heart" at the time...was fantastic.
But then again tickets where only 20 bucks. If you listen to their live albums, only "Song Remains the Same" is noteworthy...the rest is muddled in mixing and performance.

I'd still like to hear the live show from a couple years ago on cd.

UPDATE to that article:

fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.net

That, my friends, was posted the day after 'FIVE' so its a countdown of some sort. What the article also failed to mention was that the day before 'FIVE' was just a simple, "Hello," typed out. That FB page has NEVER been active as long as I've had it 'Liked' on Facebook, and I can't even recall liking it to be honest! And, as some have pointed out, both pics have been posted at 10:12 AM EDT. As we all know, the rest of the world writes the day before the month. When was the o2 concert, again?

All I know is that I am getting a Blu-ray player, whatever comes out, and I am kicking my family out of the house until I have watched every last second of this, whatever it is.

Led Zeppelin having a Facebook page would make John Bonham want to puke.

If this involves Plant singing at any time since long before The Honeydrippers, then it would not be cryptic.

It would be craptic.

Somehow I don't think the drummer of the biggest, most commercially successful rock band of its time would be opposed to self-promotion.

Jesus, it's bunch of old men, at least as far as the surviving members go. Let them fade out gracefully, unlike the Stones and the Beatles.

We saw them in Montreal on the Physical Graffiti tour and they weren't bad at all, although Plant's voice was a little shaky on the high notes. And if I remember correctly Page had injured a finger just before the tour started. Still, it was definitely well worth standing in line on a Montreal sidewalk for 15 hours in January just to get nosebleed seats.

It's a countdown to the announce of the November release of the 2007 show at the O2 Arena on CD and DVD. Page did the same countdown thing when he launched his site.

Unlikely. Zep doesn't license their music, not even for movies.

Their protection of "their" art is laughable ironic.

Zep was a great band, just calling them on their silliness.

FTA: "A reunion tour is unlikely, however, as Robert Plant said recently in a 2011 interview with Rolling Stone that he was not interested in a full-blown Led Zeppelin reunion, saying: "I've gone so far somewhere else that I almost can't relate to it...It's a bit of a pain in the pisser to be honest. Who cares? I know people care, but think about it from my angle - soon, I'm going to need help crossing the street."

Robert doesn't have the pipes to sing that stuff anymore. Time has marched on.

Not sure if it's available anymore on YouTube but I saw the video of them singing Kashmir at O2 and it was so awesome I actually wept a little. I will sell my children and eat my dog to save the money it would take to see them if they ever do tour.

I saw a bootleg of the O2 show. It was... okay. It seemed like everyone was having fun but Plant and while still a fine singer, was having a harder time hitting some of this high notes. I'm still hoping they release the O2 show someday. Soon.

6/10. The BBC show and How the West was Won are both exceptional, and superior to Song Remains the Same in sound quality.

Besides, most of the live stuff you may have come across are illegal bootlegs done by audience members. Not sure i'd blame that on the band's sound system.

IIRC, "That's The Way" is perfectly placed in Almost Famous. No?

That movie was littered with Zep. To the point where many people thought Stillwater was based on Zep.

Silly Jesus: Here's an amazing and emotional video from 2009 of Jason Bonham (John's son) playing Moby Dick along with his father.

Amazing

I was able to catch Jason Bonham's band last year doing a night of Zeppelin songs with a bunch of home videos of his dad and the band. The performance of Moby Dick, with Bonzo playing the same song on the big screen, was awesome.
