Hey, if you get an opportunity to molest a President, go for it.

2012-09-09 05:44:16 PM
Mr President, I know that doing these things will make people like you, but I do not believe it is worth the risk of possible harm doing. There are a lot of people out there who REALLY despise you, and they hate you so much that they would do anything to be put in a position where they could harm you. Sure, I may not like you, but that does not mean that I want to see anyone attempt to kill you. Please, Mr President, dont give those farkers ANY chance.

Pretty awesome photo.  And I was thinking the Secret Service question myself.

Hey, look. It's a Presidential candidate connecting with his constituents.

As opposed to "I like those fancy raincoats you bought. Really sprung for the big bucks."

He doesn't vote by party line. He feels comfortable with Romney, will vote for him and he bear hugs Obama.
I will never understand how some people decide who to vote for.

Mitt Romney wouldn't know how to connect with another human being unless it involved cables and a USB port.

and I do feel extremely comfortable with him

Which isn't creepy at all when it comes to picking a guy up and hugging him.

Van Duzer, by the way, is a registered Republican who voted for Obama in 2008 and says he will do so again in November.

"I don't vote party line, I vote who I feel comfortable with, and I do feel extremely comfortable with him," he told the press pool.

Yeah, that's my thought as well, subby. One usually does not make unexpected moves towards the President.

Exactly.  He was the store owner.  You own a business, a lot of information is out there about you.  I promise you they did a lot of background checks on the business owner of a place Obama was scheduled to visit.

It was an unannounced stop, the shop owner was vetted for sure, and the lack of notice would keep most of the yahoo's at bay... but I'd bet there were a couple of guys in the place nursing diet cokes in the corner for a couple of hours before Obama got there.

I am surprised that the Secret Cervix guys didn't freak out and beat the hell out of the guy who gave Obama a bear hug.

Reading an article about Obama going to a bar a few months ago, they gave everyone in the bar a security check (most likely a pat down, maybe take the blackout drunks out back onto the patio) that was already in there.

This.

Maybe this was after Obama had been there for a bit and they had already confirmed he wasn't a threat. Personally, some of the Obama supporters might be even more dangerous - anybody else completely weirded out by all the crying white ladies nodding to Obama at the DNC?

Obama seems to have more fun that any candidate in recent memory. He's winning the 'wanna have a beer with him' vote hands down.

Nursing Diet Cokes?  Well more than that!  I'm pretty sure they swept every single corner, shelf, table, etc with all sorts of detectors.

As well, I'm sure they can do a pretty deep (and instant) security check on any person by scanning their ID, and did so for everyone in the bar/restaurant.  (I know my state has both a bar code and magnetic strip on our drivers licenses/state IDs)

These things are well planned.  The Secret Service knows what they're doing.
