This deserves an "Obvious" tag.

Going out on a limb to say either this is false or taken out of context.

(reads article)

Yep. These are the states that are governed by the rule that says that they can only do this if the quality of care is equal to or better than the care that they get on traditional medicaid. The federal government established a minimum level, some states think they can save money by doing it themselves, the federal government agrees and gives them a block grant, but only if they agree to not decrease the level of care. Beyond setting the rules the feds have no involvement whatsoever in the state programs.

So, false *and* taken out of context. Horay, hot air!

That kind of sounds almost exactly like the "removed welfare work requirements" issue. Do they just use some sort of standard lie framework and try and fit it wherever they can?

Look, you can't expect HotAir to know what thinks are like in reality, alright? They don't let their website be dictated by facts.

I'm just going to wait for the Republican plan to show up on Netflix, since I can't be bothered to watch every week for whether or not states should be able to make decisions for themselves.

I'll give Hot Air this much, unlike American Thinker and Reason, at least they're honest in their name about what they peddle.

When Obama is against a GOP plan, they hate him. If he flip-flops and decides to try the GOP plan, they still hate him.

Why does this sound so familiar?

True. They're dirty whores for the money and page clicks, not political slant. I can at least respect whoring for money.

WTF!

I read the document Hot Air linked to. I found no mention of vouchers. This program works with Massachusetts to enhance care for Medicare/Medicaid recipients.

What a fark load of bullshiat is Hot Air feeding its readers?

No, you deserve the img1.fark.net tag for 1) not fully researching the Hot Air article to find its bullshiat and 2) for not using HTML code and/or the handly buttons in the Comments window to include the img1.fark.net Graphics Interchange Format image.

The whole "Big government liberals" is about as true as claiming the media and facts have a liberal bias. Historically, government is significantly smaller under a Democratic leader, than a Republican one.

Man, it didn't used to be that way. In my lifetime, it's gone from polite disdain to cutthroat elections to "Let's kill the other side ALL THE FREAKING TIME because f*ck the American public."

I mean, I'm not even that old, and I can still remember when things actually got done in Congress.

I'm pretty sure I read about a similar request Romney tried to make when he was governor to try this exact same idea. That's bad news... For Obama.

It took me about thirty seconds of reading to see that the article was bullshiat. Come on, Hot Air! If you're going to hand me a pile of shiat and try to convince me that it's Shinola, you could at least not insult my intelligence by making it so easy to debunk your bullshiat.

heard it on a national conservative AM talk radio show like 12 hours ago (some show i never heard of before) ... saying how it was startling breaking news and Obama is just the lyingest liar to ever lie. then talking about how the mainstream liberal media would never report it. blah blah blah.

i assumed i'd look it up later to see if anything they were saying was based in reality or if it was just heavily distorted exasperated fear-peddling.

looks like the latter.

Most families had a crazy ass uncle that spouted these absurd stories and had plenty of tin foil on hand to make hats. But now thanks to Faux news and many internet sites that crazy uncle is able to spread the news to a larger audience and more effectively repeat the lies over and over and combine them with other lies to make them more palatable to their viewers who are unlikely to actually verify the information.

If you get your info from any heavily biased source you're doing it wrong; trying to "equalize" biases but getting info from multiple agenda-driven sources doesn't have any sort of anti-matter like neutralizing effect or anything.

I'm not going to suggest that liberals are more informed or critical necessarily but the culture surrounding it in most of America is less conducive to preaching to the choir, at least on a regular, daily basis. In the very least it seems like in the US conservatives enjoy being preached to a bit more (I'll admit liberals do have other means of having their worldview affirmed etc., just not in this particular way).

I forgot to add to my previous post, "That is why Hot Air (even if it is kinda centrist) or Air America never really cornered the market as well as FNC was before its ratings started to decline."

BTW don't forget about Michelle Malkin's involvement in founding Hot Air.
