I saw a poster advertising an upcoming "Psychic Fair" once.

I thought, ya know, if was really a psychic fair they wouldn't need posters.

People would just know and show up anyways.

It's not like an online psychic company is going to care if their employees are frauds, you know?

There is a well-known "psychic" who frequents this website who refuses to be disabused of her idiotic notions. It's really quite sad.

There are two kinds of people who say they are psychic. One are the out and out fraudsters.

The other group is genuinely convinced of the existence of "psychic" powers, and that they themselves have some kind of extranormal perception or insight which enables them to know things they otherwise couldn't know. It's a genuine belief, not a fraud or self-delusion.

Sadly, these are the ones who craft complex explanations for why psychic abilities exist, why they can't ever be tested in the lab (the "shyness effect" e.g.), and claim things like "counting the hits and ignoring the misses" doesn't apply to THEM because whatever whatever. It's these folks, not the frauds, we have to thank for the fact so many many people really believe in psychic powers and thus fall victim to the frauds.

I like the way they phrase psychic ads now a days because of fraud they make the psychics sound more like therapists or counselors.

FTFA: "Children of fortune tellers become the same thing that their parents are," Reagan said. "This is a long tradition that the family has."

So you're saying they contribute nothing whatsoever to society and the whole family should be forcibly sterilized. Okay.

On the plus side, she appears to be fairly hot, so if the whole huckster/psychic thing doesn't work out she could probably make a decent, honest living as a whore.

You're actually thinking that there's no way anyone could tell what you're thinking, that's not exactly a question.

Actually, my question was what my cat's name was.

Rufus Lee King: JWideman: Actually, my question was what my cat's name was.

Wait, it's coming to me...

Ohmmmmmmmmmmm......

Got it.

Your cat's name is Felix, and he needs to get over here and fix my cable connection.

Sorry, no. I've never had a cat named Felix. But I did have a cat that disconnected my cable. While these may seem connected, I was thinking of a different cat.
