Well, to be fair, it's actually all three and more.

Bees should be protected. It should be illegal to kill bees under any circumstances.

MaxSupernova: Thankfully the honeybee business is booming in my part of the world. I am trying to talk my dad into starting some hives on his property and try to get some tupelo trees started as well so we can start making some tupelo honey. It truly is the bees knees of honey. However I always keep a bottle of wild flower honey when I crave something with a little stronger flavor.

I think it's a great idea. My sister had some bees brought to her property and is now learning a bit about beekeeping.

Bees provide more than just honey. They pollinate billions of dollars worth of food products for the U.S. each year. Much of that food cannot be effectively pollinated by machine or hand.

When I was working at a local church a few years ago, they had an infestation of honeybees inside a roof structure. They called a local beekeeper, who promptly came with a trailer and vacuumed up the queen and about 200,000 bees for free. He got a new hive, and the church got rid of the swarms. Everybody won.

JackieRabbit: Honey bees and yellow jackets don't look anything alike. Yellow jackets nest underground. What farking morons.

Don't know about out there, but in New England yellow jackets make aerial nests, usually off of a house or tree. There's more than one species, you know....

How can they be so stupid to confuse them? Bees fly in somewhat irregular patterns, that's why the name "bumblebee" exists. Wasps fly with the precision of a jet fighter.

Also, they look pretty different:

The use of pesticides that are hundreds of times more lethal to bees than to other insects on flowering plants.

The answer is D sadly.

I've gotten stung by a honeybee once. That was when I was five years old and picked him up in my hand, squeezing him a bit, not knowing any better. Now I love those little guys and gals.

Wasps however go out of their way to mess you up. Instant death for them :) Female mosquitoes too, but I haven't seen them around in a few years.

Ima4nic8or: Clearly its not A since global warming is a hoax. B, perhaps, but why get your panties in a bunch about it? Its just nature in action. C: my only concern here is the city invading the homeowners property. The hive of bees is a petty concern. There are plenty more where they came from.

The city seems to be talking out both sides of its face: "...the tree is in a public right of way.."...but...."its your tree"...but..."we have the right to fark with your tree".. So much for a clear delineation of rights and responsibilities. I would say if the tree is in the homeowners yard, its theirs. They can chop it down, let it grow as big as they want, or fill it with 5000 bees. Its their business, not mine or anyone else's. If, on the other hand, it is on city property then the city can do as they see fit. Clear and easy.

Clearly A: You live in your mom's basement where it's always the same temperature... B: You have no idea what a pollinator is and don't care because cheese doodles and hot dogs don't need them and C: Are 12.

The thing is, the town claims they sent "experts".

Gotta say, this article actually made me a bit angrier than I thought it would..

are your pages of guns and ammo stuck together?

You're absolutely right. The media has NEVER deliberately confused every goddamn semi-automatic rifle with an "assault weapon." He just pulled that right out of his ass.

the fark does that have to do with bees? oh boohoohoo the media gets the name of the gun wrong, let's just like it city workers confuse bees from wasps? those poor guns. I guess i see his point i apologise, i didn't realise that the AK-47 was so sensitive about other people getting to use it's name.

You're an idiot. So a comment can't be about anything not directly related to bees, and because I post a gun image you assume I'm a gun owner? Look out, I'm about to post a picture of Superman, so I must be a super hero.

It's Saturday morning, way too early for you to bring your fist of rage out. Can you even have a relaxing morning?

I don't know if this is urban legend, but I hear that if you eat local honey, it helps with local allergies. I don't want to look that up on Google or Snopes, because I like eating local honey. On Wheat Thins or Triscuits or stirred up with crunch peanut butter.

hmm, that was a wreck of a sentence, But someone really should set up some kind of charity fun and have sally struthers come on. "Everyday in America reporters across the nation are offending the AK47 by using it's name for other weapons, Your donation of 10 dollars will get each rifle 2 years of therapy so it can go on to live a normal productive life before its word was shattered when the AR-15 in a novermber 3rd, 2011 AP news article was mistakenly called an AK-47"
Have various shots of guns sitting in the cabinets all dusty, not having the will to be fired knowing that all of their hard work will go to waste when a simple m-16 will get the glory while the ak-47 remains hidden inside a wooden prison. Maybe they can use the same director and writers from those depressing pet ads.

But for now remember farkers.. we can stop the plight of the AK-47 and demand that city workers can tell bees from yellow jackets.

Yeah, I was out in my yard a little while back and saw honeybees flying around from flower to flower, which I realized I hadn't seen in a while. It does appear that their population is rebounding, which is very good.
