Ianman: That is not glass blowing.
Krymson Tyde: That's very impressive, but that horse wasn't anywhere near 2 feet, much less 2 feet 3 inches.
EvilEgg: Ianman: That is not glass blowing. The may have omitted the actually blowing part. I am not sure if that was a solid gather or it had a bubble, either way, it's impressive.
Gough: CSB: The lab where my dad worked had several German glassblowers who were amazing craftsmen, but with twisted senses of humor. One of the novelties that they would make in their free time was "Prince Rupert's Tears", teardrop-shaped globs of supercooled glass that explode when the "tail" is broken. They would wait until they found a coworker bent over his work, concentrating hard on the task at hand. They would sneak up, hold the PRT right behind the coworker's butt, and snap the tail on the piece of glass. From what I hears since, this is not an uncommon prank among glassblowers. Sick bastards.
AlwaysRightBoy: Is this from Island of Murano? Because I have seen a master glass blower do this, all thought he was much older./must be his apprentices
Serial: EvilEgg: Ianman: That is not glass blowing. The may have omitted the actually blowing part. I am not sure if that was a solid gather or it had a bubble, either way, it's impressive. There definitely was blowing. The end of the black tube is attached to a compressor that he controlled with foot pedals.
Lady Beryl Ersatz-Wendigo: Tee hee it looks like a shmoo at the beginning.
LoneVVolf: The body deflated ~50% volume as it cooled, with no appreciable elongation.
