It's hard to think of a more enjoyable movie than Raiders of the Lost Ark. Sure, there are deeper, more demanding and more rewarding movies, but Raiders is just such a pleasure to watch. The film gods were smiling when they gave Ford a case of the shiats.

KrispyKritter: saw Harrison Ford on a talk show years ago. stereotypical blockhead actor with mindless comments in a dull monotone. yet there he is, one of the most over rated actors of our time. he should run for office, no doubt american dooshbags would vote him right on in.

For what it's worth, my Uncle had a ranch next to Harrison Ford's ranch in Wyoming. He met the guy on several occasions and said he couldn't be a nicer guy. Ford also piloted helicopters and helped with search and rescue in the area. Doesn't seem that douchy to me.

Helped? If I recall correctly, he actually saved two people, and transported them to safety. Tell me that wouldn't make a cool story bro, "Yeah, got lost hiking in the Rockies. Got saved by Indiana Jones."

AuralArgument: LindenFark: If that limits the rolls available to him,

I have inside sources at a company that was doing some business with mr.ford.

He was up next in line for a nice poppyseed roll but because of his behaiver with the media head office said we couldn't allow him to have it.

Hey, you got a "funny" click from me. The roll/role thing is almost as annoying as people who say "casted." Some would say it's a grammar Nazi thing, but I argue it's more of a "knowing what you're farking talking about" thing.

/just remember to spell check your own post before engaging in such behavior

The Incredible Sexual Egg: StoPPeRmobile: The thing about Harrison is He BEEFS. He'll drop 5 or 6 forearm-sized logs in there with no flushes in between. Rumor has it that on the set of "Raiders of the Lost Ark" he used to shiat in the shower and heel it down the drain to save time.

This meme is worse than the Lady Gaga golf ball one.

I never liked it, but it fits the topic here for once.

I like the gunshot end to that scene better... i saw that movie at the theater when i was 11.. still one of the best movie viewing experiences i ever had.. and since i can't goto theaters anymore (Cell phones... douches and black people that yell at the screen (Stereotypes exist for a reason)) it will stay my #1 theater movie forever:)

KrispyKritter: mindless comments in a dull monotone

I think Ford just has no respect for or need of the media, so it's expedient and efficient for him to be curt of the point of dickishness. I get the sense (or may have heard) that he's unwilling to do standard movie promotion. If that limits the rolls available to him, I doubt he cares.

My disappointment in him is that he doesn't seem to be pushing his craft. He's made his money and doesn't seem to be interested in exercising his potential or producing memorable performances.
