The day draws nigh and all is in readiness - come blow off some steam with your fellow Farkers at this AMAZING brewery in Western Washington.

I mean... really. It's a brewery. Where better for a Fark Party?

I can't wait to get a load of you Farkers!

Rogue nation? You know what happens to rogue nations, don't you?

They get all Declaration of Independency and Bootstrappy and end up saying things like "America, F*CK YEAH!"?

Is the Green Lake Naked Man going to be there?

I've been living in Korea for the last 7 years. We haven't had much selection at all for beers, with Budweiser being nearly the only thing drinkable unless I went into Itaewon for a Guinness. Anyway, we recently got Rogue beers here. Seems really random considering its such a small brewery and we can't even find Coors or Molson here. I'm happy now and always have some kind of Rogue beer in the fridge now. It's also funny seeing the Brits try it. They don't tend to talk about America having crappy beer anymore.

I think I'll be there.

Dead Guy!

Might be worth a road trip. Any Portland Farkers want to carpool?

2012-09-07 09:40:40 PM
You know, I live close enough to make this but I'm not sure I could stomach a bunch of drunk Farkers long enough to make the trip worth my while.

That, coupled with the fact that I have an uncontrollable urge to buy numerous drinks for random people at bars while endlessly droning on about how I too am a brewer.....

It could turn into quite the scene.

2012-09-07 10:12:37 PM
Really wish I could go. :(

I might be able to do that. I don't have a car, but I could help with some gas.

And not to threadjack, but we Portland Farkers should figure out if Oct 6 or 13 is better to do one down here. (Details are still under it's own thread.)

Maybe I'll show up.

I'll submit a new one early. The bar is okay with both dates, but I'd like to solidify one soon.

I can't stomach it. I can drink a case of any swill normally, but I can't drink that. Rogue has too many good offerings to sink to that.

I pretend it never happened and crack another bottle of Hazelnut Brown. Good God A'Mighty that's some good beer.

Love the beer, glad I don't live in Newport anymore!

SLACKERS!!! We need at least 3 to 4 reminders each for the 2 Fark Parties on the main page!!

Again, so soon?! Sweet, I'm in!! It's the night of the Accept show, and Accept is one of the last remaining bands on my must-see 80s metal bands list, but I gotta see you ugly bastards in the flesh...!

/You don't know me, but I'm hella cool.
//I don't really know you, either...

Brits know as much about good beer as they do about good food and good dental hygiene. The north west corner of the continental United States has the highest concentration of fine beers on the planet.

It is our not so dirty secret that we only plant a coffee house on every corner in order to disguise the little brew house on the other.

That. Why on God's Green Earth would they attempt to recreate the single most over rated doughnut in history, when they have so much good stuff, is beyond me.

Not enough Fark party reminders.

I do believe I'll make it to this.

Will Modest Mouse be there? Will you stop by XXX Root Beer on the way?

There my Issaquah references are used up.

Will try and make it, but I didn't even make the one 6 blocks from my house so ...

Why do I picture a FARK party in Seattle as 4 male hipsters nursing one six dollar micro brew for 3 hours, while they talk about their Star Trek action figures collections and all their super neato green lighted FARK uploads?

It isn't in Seattle, so you can save your visual for someone else who shares your rather unique worldview.

My ex-BF was from Issaquah...

And they have the word "snow" in a lot of towns up there. Well... "sno," at any rate... Washington is werid.

Okay, you farkers. I'm down here in LA drinking piss water at some wannabe Cheesecake Factory place trying to figure out why anyone would ever drink this shiatty Irish red ale. It tastes like a glass of Raid.

Which reminded me of this thread and a beer I had at the Brewhouse in July. The White Frog tastes like watered down Dr Pepper. I should have gone with the Yellow Snow. I had that last November during my last visit and it was delicious. The White Frog was undrinkable.

Anyway, WTF is up with this BJ's place? No BJs and mediocre beer. No doubt about it. The Northwest has the best beers in the country.

I'll be with you all in spirit. Which is to say that I will drink my share of spirits and forget I'm stuck in farking Los Angeles. What a farking shiathole this place is.

my wife insists i go.

it's also my birthday. odds are i will have two nametags, one identifying myself and one explaining that it's my birthday and i am gladly accepting free drinks, cash, food, and nude photos.

looking forward to it.

we should just own up and hold the next one in a distillery.

This is a combination brewhouse and distillery. Your username is hilarious.
