Mythbusters and Dirty Jobs. About the only two shows left worth watching on Discovery nowadays.

The Science Channel appears to be taking up Discovery's old mantle as an educational channel...and yet, that's becoming a weird amalgam of what the Sci-Fi Channel used to be before that got shredded to hell and actual science/educational content, which is still dominant. And frankly, as long as they keep that up, I won't mind the occasional reruns of Firefly or Fringe (at least they're good) or An Idiot Abroad, which should be on Discovery.

Pretty good. I mean, it's pretty much the same stuff as in the US, except when he has to deal with animals there's a higher risk.

//I also found out apparently Australian law won't let you kill any of the things that can farking kill you.

His show is simply mesmerizing. The only time I was really grossed out by it was when he was wrangling some snakes for a parks service. One of the snakes started to thrash about spraying snake poo all over.

Now...to order my Dirty Jobs Red Dirt shirt.

I was actually impaled on a fence when I was 7. Walking round the top of the fence trying to balance between the spikes, my brother shouted for me to come in for lunch, I turned, fell, screamed, mum came out and saw me, screamed, neighbour came out, screamed, rinse, repeat.

Spikes through both thighs and lower abdomen, but not much in the way of scarring now - I suppose you heal better/quicker when you're young.

I figured that would go to the Discovery Fit and Health channel and fit somewhere between Dr G. and I Didn't Know I was Pregnant.

The Science Channel is trying to jump the shark with having competing Oddities shows. Though Wednesday would probably be interesting to jump the shark with...

Eh, Impact:Stories of Survival had some pretty gross implements. One kid was a passenger in a car that sped through a wooden fence. The 4x4 fence post went through the front of the car, the kid, and the seat he was in. Yes, it included video at the scene and at the hospital getting the post removed from his abdomen.

it's Katsuni now.

"She originally performed using the stage name Katsumi (a common given name in Japan for both sexes), but she was barred by a French judge in January 2007 from using the name after a woman named Mary Katsumi sued over the resemblance to her own name."

It's times like this I am glad I gave up cable TV.

A kid in my high school kept a scrapbook of gore clipped from newspapers and magazines. One of the pictures was of a guy who jumped out of a window and landed on a spiked wrought iron fence. We all thought he was a little sick in the head. I imagine he'll get a real kick out of this show.

I sorta like "Son of Guns". But I have a strange fascination with firearms (especially considering I don't own any).

As a child I once stuck my finger into one of those automatic sewing machines and it drove the needle clean through my finger.

That's all I got.

The best title of a show belongs to History Channel 2. Oh excuse me, "H2".
It's one of those "extreme" clip shows but focused on natural disasters.
Its name makes me laugh but then cry at the absurdity of modern television:

Serial Killer Earth

Yep. The Earth is a serial killer. I love it.
I've never actually watched it, but just seeing its name on the list tells me enough about it.

Apparently Discovery's doing another run of Hawking docs, co-narrated by Sherlock Holmes.
