How else was he going to abscond with the cheerleaders?

So 24 million people got to watch Bill Clinton blather on about how successful of a POTUS Obama has been? Ooooh, he talked more about it being Bush's fault than Obama's successes (when you can't run on your record, your only option is to attack your opponent).

Cspan isn't measure by ratings agencies? Huh well I guess it's not a commercial network, and nobody usually watches it so it makes sense. But I bet both the RNC and DNC numbers were even higher if that had been included. I watched cspan so I wouldn't have to listen to idiot commentators jumping in every second

what were the viewer totals for the RNC convention on their best nights?

It's like you've taken reality and then said the exact opposite.

Most intelligent argument to vote for Romney I've heard yet

nah, it's gonna be aight. A little early for a "wake up call" as Osi or Boley or someone said but I think they'll be ok. They lost the opener last season to a lesser team

Nothing like watching two old white men discuss Obama's speech last night, two seconds after it was over, and they couldn't recall any of it. If you're going to have commentators, at least make them take notes.

Have you seen their schedule for the season? It's a brutal series of games with very few "easy" weeks.

You can pretty much judge how terrible Bush the Lesser was as President by the fact that the DNC made Clinton one if the centerpieces of their convention, while Bush is the leather suited gimp that the RNC keeps locked of in the basement. They know that most Americans regard him as the King Joffrey of American politics, so it is best to keep him out of sight and out of mind, lest we remember what happened the last time we let a wayward son of privilage occupy the Oval Office, the last time we let someone run America "like a business".

Clinton may have screwed an intern, but Bush screwed the entire country.

There's nothing wrong with Clinton sex jokes. I read that comment and went LAWL ZING!!!@!~ It's possible to be very clever with a good Clinton sex joke, even if it is kind of low-hanging fruit. Like cow puns, or knock-knock jokes.

I meant during the speeches. I don't care for commentary so I turned cspan off after they were done. I checked CNN and CNBC and the others, they had people commenting while the speeches were still going on, so you couldn't hear the speaker. Plus ads. Cspan had no interruptions at all.

Doesn't it worry you that Honey Boo Boo beat the RNC ratings, but professional football lost out to the DNC? I mean, I know you generally go around completely oblivious to reality, but this one little fact doesn't leak through your overly dense and thick cranium and penetrate that pea brain?

I have some problems with Obama (and Congress's) response to the recession. But why would I want to vote for the guy who is going to bring back the economic policies that caused the recession in the first place? (I'm talking about Romney, in case it isn't clear.) I have never heard a Republican give me a good reason to do so.

nyseattitude: How many people watched on their Intertubes and Innerwebs?

it'd be interesting to see that added to the metric. everyone i've spoken to about Clinton's speech at least, watched it online. and judging from the increased ferver from limbaugh and the talking heads, even without those numbers, the GOP realizes just how badly they shiat the bed last week.

Article: "C-SPAN's audience is not measured by the ratings agency."

I actually doubt that. It is probably more accurate to say no one has paid Nielsen to publish C-SPAN's ratings. Nielsen does not do what it does as a public service. If no one pays for for the data, no one gets it. If someone is willing to pay for C-SPAN's ratings then C-SPAN will all of a sudden have ratings.

After all, the overnight ratings come from People meters which can damn well record that someone is watching the channel with C-SPAN. I don't see how it costs Neilsen anything to collect the info.
