Was he a boy named Sue?

Is he going to Folsom prison?

Gotta be more to it than that.

thats what happens when you live on a golf course

When we bought a house on the golf course we realized someone may drown. But this? No, not this.

Verbal confrontation, a lot more to it.

As someone who lives in Reno, sadly I know there probably wasn't much more too it.

Sounds like a typical gun owner.

majic pellet there.

2012-09-07 01:56:17 AM
The article says that it's unknown how far the house actually is from the golf course. If it was ten blocks over, I could see getting annoyed..

As someone who used to live there this does not surprise me one bit.

He is probably not an expert on golf anyway. So here is for him, A Parody of Why Some People Suck at Golf.

I'm in the early stages of planning a Tahoe Fark extravaganza, I will add you to the "list". We will be importing ttheSacramento area crew too.

When I was a teenager, I lived in a sort of golf course based community. Me an some friends had access to a bunch of clubs and balls; they were in the garage of one of the houses we would skip school in. We would eat mushroom s and smoke schwag while driving these ball into the neighborhood...hitting cars and roofs...people screaming "WHAT THE fark!" in the distance. It was fun as fark.

Ctown34: thats what happens when you live on a golf course

I've made this exact statement during an argument with someone who lived on a golf course. (only happened once and the house was right on the fairway; buddy's shot sliced right into the sheetrock)

Came for this.

Also because I once shot a man in Reno and absconded with his tie.

Wayward golf strokes usually incur a one shot penalty.

Hmm...

Personally, I think that the occasional golf ball is an expected hazard of living near a golf course, and a conscientious course should have some sort of insurance(or fund) to repair any damage from escaped balls, with a glass guy on call.

THEN they can worry about whether or not they'd try to charge the player who actually hit it.

That puzzles me: if he shot a man in Nevada why is he in a California prison?

Shoulda said Needles. Or Chico. Or Venice.

If the Reno Gazette-Journal (one of the most amateur newspapers in the Gannett family) could bother spelling the name of the street correctly (it's Wycliffe Circle, not "Wycliff Road"), it might have been easier for them to figure out that every house on that street is right up against one of two different holes on the course.

That said, this reaction is sadly typical for Reno, especially for the a-holes who live up by Lakeridge.

"Up around the 16th hole, a stray golf ball went through the window," Reno police Lt. Keith Brown said.

A verbal confrontation followed, Brown said. The resident "shot the golfer one time with a shotgun," Brown said, adding that the pellet struck the golfer twice in a leg and once in an arm.

Hmmm, I don't think that is what Brown actually said. It is roughly eleventy brazillian times more likely that is the journalist's understanding of what lieutenant Brown said. They must have never covered shotguns during the AK-47 semester of journalism school.

Thanks. I was genuinely curious.
