I'd complain about not having a thread ready to go for the second day running, but right now it's a James Taylor concert and I've flatlined three times already.

I've added "finish your drink when a speaker mentions beer or microbreweries" to my drinking game list.

Marc Anthony to sing a mashup of "The Star Spangled Banner" and "You Sang to Me."

I'd be pretty surprised it Fartbongo outdid Bubba. While Obama's always a good speaker in general, he's definitely seemed a bit off his game over the last couple of years when giving speeches. Clinton, on the other hand, has always been a very good speaker (which I say even though I've never been a much of a fan of the guy), and he seems to have only gotten better over the years.

Heh, nice line by Barney Frank. "If Mitt Romney was the superhero of job creation they claim he is, you would've seen it in Massachusetts, and you didn't!"

That's because Obama the Campaigner hasn't been at the forefront.

Giffords is leading the Pledge of Allegiance. John Lewis just told a really powerful story about getting beaten on a Freedom Ride and in 2008, inspired by Obama's election, one of the men who beat him came to his office in Washington and tearfully apologized. He's doing really well.

Eva Longoria,Scarlet Johansson, Natalie Portman and Kerry Washington, whoever that is.

Obama doesn't need to top Clinton. Clinton did a fantastic job of dismantling the GOP platform word for frickin' word, so all Obama needs to do is get up there and say, "Soooooo.....nice speaker last night, huh?" and just bask in the applause.

This is the fourth or fifth time I've heard that "Romney didn't talk about the troops" line. If Obama doesn't mention the troops tonight, he's going to have some egg on his face.

Somehow, I think this may be all a part of a plan.

I've also got a hunch that he might "spike the football" and mention that he sent ninjas to whack an elderly dialysis patient and dump the body in the ocean.

I have a feeling that if he does THAT, then one of the 3 major 24/7 news networks will scream how unclassy he is.

"Get crunk for President Obama getting 4 more years." Hmm. lol

What I'm looking for out of Obama's speech tonight is his plan for the next four years. I think all the other speakers have done a great job explaining his term to date, and last night Bill annihilated the Republican platform. Obama should talk a little about what he's done, but spend most of his time talking about where he wants to go next.

She's the one that Anderson Cooper said was "in an alternate universe" when she insisted there was no disagreement during the platform change, yes.

Have to take my team out to dinner tonight, so yes, this is a bookmark!

I've watched both the democratic and republican conventions since 1976 and nothing in memory has had the energy or power I have seen in this one. History is indeed being made!
